Game 117
Bello takes the mound with skills quite adroit.
His fastball moves faster than A.J. Foyt.
Teams like the Tigers are here to exploit.
We need to hustle like Hoffman and Voight.
Maul Motor City. Demolish Detroit.

If PH taxes Story, he needs to reconsider his life choices.
I don't think it's necessarily a "taxes him" issue, so much as he has played the last 4 days between DH and SS, and while he is probably beyond spring training endurance (for lack of a better term) it probably isn't by much. I think it's a well deserved day off, and a good time for it with an extra day he can have off on Monday before the long stretch of games without a day off.

Am I misremembering or does Bello have a much higher ERA in day than in night games? I guess the team has a schedule and they have to stick to it, and besides, they probably want to "cure" him of that.
Edit: Youks just gave the BP depth chart, with Llovera at the bottom. I thought he'd been DFA'd. Am I wrong again?

Or, honestly, the incredible, fantastical Nick Robertson, optioned to Worcester at the same time.

That's is, thanks. But Llovera is not so good, IIRC.
Great stuff, had great peripherals/performance in the minor leagues, and has struggled to convert that at the big league level. He'll definitely get DFA'd if he doesn't figure it out fast, and with Houck and Whitlock coming back, he'll probably get DFA'd regardless

Sox offense really needs to break out. They've been scuffling for so long

Torkelson (how is that a realy name?) really just ran into that one. Even he seemed stunned it went out of the park, nevermind the opposite field. Still a bad pitch, but yeah

Great interview with Kourtney Turner, Justin’s wife on WEEI. They are such good people.

Hope we can keep him, even at a reasonable premium to his production. He seems like a good clubhouse guy that a lot of young guys can learn from. He also may be the only regular on this team who is strong both defensively and at the plate. We just don't have many "complete players."

Edit: this is good -->
