Before today's game, Devers was hitting
.312/.428/.557/.985 with runners in scoring position (152 PA/122 AB) and
.265/.321/.498/.819 with the bases empty (265 PA/245 AB) >>bb-ref
Yeah, I see his excellent #s running across the bottom of mlbn and I just told my husband that my expectations of him must be too high, b/c it seems to me that he strands runners all the time, trying to hit a homer or bust.

Mookie's has been on fire of late. He's taken over the national league OPS lead with a 1.010. Today, he was five for five and two for three in a doubleheader, getting his average up to .310. He'd been as low as the .250s in June.
He's also playing 2B at an above average level.

I honestly didn't think he had this type of season left in him after looking (relatively) ordinary in 2021-22.

I was just telling my buddy that 2018 MVP Mookie made a return this year. I, too, thought that type of season was only in his past but wow, he’s really a stud when he’s healthy. I think that’s gonna make or break his next 5 years probably….if he can stay healthy. If he can, he’s HOF stuff. But if he slips away quickly like Nomar did after 2003, then you could have a case of “wow I thought he was a lock for the hall of fame”

Great. Game!

I enjoyed a fun pants off Thursday afternoon of Sox success WATER... prom night!

Every game is a season!

Bring on the Dodger Blue Mookie fuck wads! Sweep the legs and make sure you have enough body bags to toss in the Charles. !

I think Mookie is full of shit on his continuing quote-fest on the fact the $300 million offer was made or or not... he didn't want to get paid early, and the team took the correct path.

I wish him well and look forward to watching him on the PBA on FOX while the Dodgers are sill paying him.
