This team is kind of grimy - in a good way. You can tell because they give the good teams like the Dodgers a tough time.

Do better. Win again.

Injury Report? Reyes, Devers, anyone else?

Can't just put a call in to Chang or Arroyo, neither is on the 40 man; in case someone has to go on the IL. Certainly don't want Turner at second or third with that foot problem, either.

Only IF callups possible are Dalbec, Hamilton, Raffaela and Valdez.

He was in the original lineup, then scratched / peteabe
Yes, in the lineup until he woke up with a swollen melon where his wrist is supposed to be?

I hope Devers is not on the Duran path where each subsequent injury report gets worse.

I just hope we can beat the Dodgers. We’re so outclassed by a team like theirs, I can hardly believe we can even score a run against them. Then again, it’s baseball so anything can happen. But what that really means is if we lose it means we suck but if we win it means nothing.

Game 131
We’re splitting games during the most dreaded
stretch of our schedule. The Sox have treaded
water for weeks as if we were wedded
to 5TH in the wild card. (Though we've shedded
ourselves of the Yanks.) Let’s put some leaded
gas in our tanks and see if we’re headed
up like we’ve flown or down like we’ve sledded.
Day game today (to be played and threaded.)
Let’s tear it up like documents shredded.
Betts won’t best us. (I bet he’s embedded.)

I would think Dalbec for sure and MAYBE Rafaela. I know the Sox are pretty adamant about not bring Rafaela up right now, but defensively he's the best option right?

I just hope we can beat the Dodgers. We’re so outclassed by a team like theirs, I can hardly believe we can even score a hit (hell, any kind of non-out) against them. Then again, it’s baseball so anything can happen. But what that really means is if we lose it means Cora sucks but if we win it means inconceivable luck.
Fixed it.

I’m pretty sure that post was a swipe at me for saying after game 1 the Dodgers are a more complete team, and I wish we could be more like that. It had nothing to with Cora (of whom I am one of the remaining staunch defenders) or a suggestion that we cannot beat them on any given day.

Pretty sure that's a joke, but perhaps my sarcasm meter is too highly tuned after years of reading these threads.
I hope the Sox can win today. But I feel that way every game. I am more consistent than the team's performance, though I am sure they're trying their best.
Geaux, Sox!

I'm just glad the Sox didn't have to play the Braves.

I like your stuff. Keep it coming.
This team is wonderful and frustrating at the same time. It’s actually kind of fun.

Behind the plate today, a tier up.

Nice to be giving a shit about the team against championship contenders in late August. There was a time earlier in the year when that seemed unlikely.

15 game hitting streak for this guy.

How come we can't get a player like him?
