In my 179 years watching professional sports I have simply never been more offended by the way the Sox lay all over the field. They should be called the Layabouts, not the Red Sox.

Bloom should have seen all of this coming - he gets paid to see the future - but he didn't. Fire him, Cora and release everyone on the big league roster. Failures each and every one. Its absolutely unforgivable.
That's why Casas lies down on the field before each game. He's trying to fit it

I have been thinking of you and how disappointed you must feel. My expectations were considerably less, but I am still disappointed.
Eh, to be fair, that prediction was quite tongue in cheek and a response to all the misery that floated around here all winter. I like the team that got put together, but I never really thought they would win 97 games, and was basically hopeful they would compete until September. Watching them go down in flames over the last 10 days has been absolutely miserable, though, for sure. Watching them seemingly give up while doing it has been worse than getting toothpicks shoved under my toenails.

There's another team that is currently 4 games closer to that same hope.
Well, in my grand plan, the Jays tread water while we get hot and the Jays neither get swept by or sweep Texas in their head-to head matchups so we move up closer to both and … ah hell… it’s a ridiculous long shot… but let a poet dream, will ya?

For all that you've given us here, we definitely owe you that. I only bring up the Jays because it seems for at least the past week (perhaps slightly more) the focus across the forums seems to have solely been on Houston and Texas. With the Sox going head to head with the 'Stros 7 times and the Rangers free falling toward that last WC spot I get them being part of the conversation concerning the Sox WC hopes, but in the meantime the Sox haven't been able to clear the hurdle standing between them and the two teams getting all of the chatter. Enjoy your well deserved day off.
