Abreu seems like a good Verdugo replacement, minus the juvenile behavior.

Sox are on pace to go 9-36 with RISP tonight. 8-32 if they don't need their ups in the bottom of the 9th.

Nice little oppo slap by Florial, to the guy who had a pitch to do the exact same thing on last inning but didn't.

Batting practice pitch for Judge gets rightly deposited in CF bleachers.

I'm wondering why Cora puts in a left-handed pitcher to face an all right-handed lineup. Perhaps he's envying Bloom the vacation time.

That was bound to happen eventually. Keep giving lousy hitters free bases and other guys getting on from crummy defense.

It feels like so many times this last month, our pitchers have gotten out of trouble, but then have gotten a big second out -- like a K or a pop up -- only to get beaten with 2 outs. Sale does it over and over. All of them really. So many two out big hits.

Pablo Reyes really fucked that play up, but Bernandino also looks to be hitting a Paxton-like wall.

I think doubleheader and he doesn't have a starter. He has to get through 9 innings tonight and doesn't really have the luxury to platoon.
