He's been great in right this season. We're going to miss his play out there if he's traded this offseason.

Martin and Jansen are unavailable, so Schreiber is the closer in the nightcap.
It's fucking unbelievable. Getting circles managed around him by Aaron Fucking Boone. He had to know the RHP was going to be brought in if he put Refsnyder in there. Of course, he might not have, because he wouldn't have had anyone ready in the bullpen for it.
This isn't even the worst part of it. The worst thing that can come out of this game is that they're tied for last place. Why not give Abreu a chance to face the lefty? You know what you have in Refsnyder; who gives a shit at this point ... give the kid a chance
He did that with Casas and Duran all the first half. Doesn't seem to have the patience with the young kids. Abreu has been a hot hitter lately.

Does Ref have some plate appearance incentives or something? I can't remember, but maybe Cora's trying to get him some extra cheddar.
I don't think it's impatience. Cora probably likes protecting rookies from tough matchups while they're first up in the big leagues to boost their confidence.
Doesn't apply here, but poor defense was a big factor in that over the season.
