Game 149
It’s been a while since I started a thread.
It’s 3 a.m. What is there to be said?
The Sox lost again. The team has looked dead.
It’s clear our hopes for the playoffs have fled,
and our starting pitching problems have spread
into our bullpen. For weeks we have sped
down in the standings to last place, instead
of whining about it, I’ll mask my dread
and just write about brighter days ahead.
We will bounce back, and the team will be led
by new stars wearing the Sox that are red.
We’ll cheer as we did for Papi and Ted,
Nomar and Pedro, Yaz, Dustin, Jim Ed,
Mookie and Manny, Wade, Dwight, Fisk, and Fred!
It will be awesome! We’re going to shred
up some bad contracts, so that we can shed
some underperformers and boldly tread
into the off-season and spend some bread.
Our fierce faithful fanbase needs to be fed.
I hope this makes sense. I must go to bed.

They should play it safe with Casas, he's proven all he needs to this season, but ugh, this would make the final two weeks even more unwatchable.

Cant wait for the patented Sale “I sucked out there today…. my performance was completely unacceptable… etc…” speech today.

Sale's velocity on the fastball shows as 89-91. Not exactly a flame thrower.

Youks keeps saying back-door slider when he means back-foot slider.

OK, he finally said it right.

I thought Sale was supposed to be pitching today, who's this guy? Don't recognize him.
