Has it been shown that starting a man at second base is actually shortening the games?
There were only 3 games in 2022 that went 13+ innings. This is the 4th one this year. Only two have gone 14 throughout the two seasons.

By quick math there were 23 such games in 2019, with 20 of them going more than 14 and the longest being 19.

Four innings with a runner on second and no out, and they get one run. We are fucking terrible.

The Jays have made a couple of mistakes on the base paths late today. Good catch Ceddanne...finally.

That was a helluva catch by the kid, even if he was sleepwalking earlier. He'll learn.

Not in the least bit disturbed because I'm in the "lets get the best draft pick possible" mentality now

I'm not really sure where to put this, but in the "Why can't NESN be better" category, I noticed tonight that the Mets' broadcast has this spiffy spot on their starting lineups graphic that shows who is on the bench and which way they bat. It's a little thing, but it is a really effective use of the screen space.

Arauz is the very same Arauz that played for the Sox. Hitting a stellar .138 !
