Reyes, as I have posted to derision on the main board.Assuming it’s one of these two, who do you prefer starting at 2B next year, Reyes or Urias?

Lesser of two evils is Reyes. I hope they can go find a good defensive second baseman. Reyes at least can get a bat on a ball, unlike Urias.Assuming it’s one of these two, who do you prefer starting at 2B next year, Reyes or Urias?
I feel the opposite. I would lean towards Reyes as the better defender at 2B, so a better fit given Devers and Casas in the IF.Lesser of two evils is Reyes. I hope they can go find a good defensive second baseman. Reyes at least can get a bat on a ball, unlike Urias.
I wish. But no way. I really do not remember a stretch like this in the last 20 years, despite a number of last place teams. They are absolutely terrible.I would never suggest it but are they trying to lose?
I think your word "absolutely" makes you wrong. If they couldn't hit at all, they'd be absolutely terrible, but they do have some skills, which makes the team very frustrating, as they lack the means to use those skills to win games. Perhaps this is on Cora, or on his coaching staff, or the players, who are very stupid. I'm not sure.I wish. But no way. No respect for Tommie and his 13 homers? The two teams combined today are 0-12 with RISP. Which is kind of like the stat that Wayne and Brent Gretzky are the brothers with the most points in NHL history.
It’s pretty cool how good they have been at getting RISP, so there is that I guess. Here we go again ... 8-for-84 and counting
He seemed to want to hit that very high pitch, which doesn't usually do anything other than what it did there.I know he’s missed most of the season, but just 2 HR from Story is sad.
Yep and the pitch prior to that was in the same spot and he checked his swing. He's been very prone to striking out on the pitch that's low and outside. New approach? He seemed to want to hit that very high pitch, which doesn't usually do anything other than what it did there.
No. But no such luckDoes the three-batter rule only pertain within the inning? In other words, Murphy doesn't have to start the next inning in order to have pitched to 3, does he?

Is defense even coachable at the MLB level? The way to improve the team’s defense is by playing better defenders. The Sox have already improved defense with Story’s return and Reyes replacing Arroyo. Rafaela in CF will improve it even more next year. The remaining defensive liabilities - Yoshida, Devers, Casas - aren’t replaceable.O'B knows that defense is top priority for Cora.
We have zero evidence of that, O'B.
Pablo Reyes at first agrees? It's interesting to watch a manager manage a game as if winning mattered.
Yoshida and Casas will improve. Remember, Casas is still a "rookie". Raffy is pretty much what he is although he has improved to the eye over the past few years. Is defense even coachable at the MLB level? I think that it is to a certain degree. I think a young player can certainly improve and even veterans or players with lesser talent can make some improvements through continued work on positioning. In the case of Yoshida, he's never going to be an elite defender, but he might improve his LF play at home as he better understands how the ball plays off different parts of the wall.Is defense even coachable at the MLB level? Oh, I agree that players can marginally improve with experience and that coaching can marginally improve some players. But with a few rare exceptions, (for example players who make it to the MLB young, like Devers,) players are who they are defensively by the time the reach the majors.I think that it is to a certain degree.
