Sale is the opening day starter next year?! Time for me to have a panic attack
First of all, Cora already knows nobody better will be acquired in the off season? And secondly Sale could fall down the stairs a month from now and break his neck. (Would that surprise anybody?)

I've never seen a bunch of guys less interested in what are being paid very well to do than the Red Sox right now (Well maybe congress).

I actually like this strategy by Cora.

Trick the O's into thinking they're better than they are. Then when they reach the playoffs, they play an MLB team and are so thrown that they lose.

I read the team cleaned out lockers yesterday and the Sox are just shipping personal belongings. All the players will just fly home from Baltimore when work ends on Sunday.

Looking at the tankathon standings - Cleveland & Detroit are facing each other this weekend to round things out. There's also the Pirates. The Red Sox could actually approach a top 10 draft pick (simulated).

Jeez Bobby -- guy throws a wild one and you go fishing on ball four on the very next pitch. Sigh.

Dalbec went way outside to get to that last pitch. However, this umpire has such a wide strike zone he was probably afraid to risk it. I don't think that's an example of not trying or being checked out, just not up to the situation.

I don't want to rag on Bobby Dalbec but there is nothing he can do at this point to stay with the Red Sox next year. Seems like a good guy though.

He is a great guy and looks great in all of his at bats even if they are unsuccessful
