I watched yesterdays game for the first time in like a month.

It was not enjoyable - but kind of fun in a twisted way because you could spend the game predicting how they wouldn't score. Either way you're right.

So I'll just read the 1.5 page game thread after the fact like I usually do.

Game 160
The bad news? No runs scored for the 19th straight inning.
(3 games left to change that if we want to try winning.)
The good news? In 4 games, the new season’s beginning!

Last night was so brutal I went into a closet box to find my old 80’s Orioles cap and put it on in protest. It’s still a good looking cap.

Speaking of hats, I’m still a superstitious fool who wears the same cap during games when we’re on winning streaks and swaps to a new cap after every loss. I even resorted to trying the helmet on the top right this year. (It required a ladder to reach.) I know it’s a bad year when I run out of options mid-season and most of the hats have wracked up multiple losses because I’ve been forced to repeat.

Nice ! I’m not a collector but they made some sweet Oriole lids in the 80s

And thanks as ever @LynnRice75 !
Old cartoon bird, mesh back half. I put that hat on and started thinking about Jim Palmer and Eddie Murray and Rick Dempsey doing the rain delay tarp slides. And I was at the game where some street kitty cat got out on the field at old Memorial Stadium and scratched the hell of everyone who tried to corral it, until it ran into the third base line dugout and was never seen again.

Sorry for being an Orioles homer for a couple of years, I did see the error of my ways.

Some of you guys are being far too kind to the Orioles..
I remember back in the early 80’s the Sox we’re playing in the old Memorial Stadium. Done idiot painters , in very large letters “SOX SUx”I’m in the grass in front of the shortstop position to in front of the second base position. It was a three game series, and it wasn’t until before the third game that the ground crew tried to clean it up by making fit look like “8OX 8UX”. I know it was over 40 years ago, and it’s very petty of me, but I’ve had no use for the Orioles ever since. The only non Red Sox AL East team I don’t have a visceral dislike for is the Blue Jays.

15 pitches for Means in 2 innings. These guys really are just phoning it in, aren't' they?

This is the only way I am in agreement with the "phoning it in" theme. But certain players seem to do that habitually. Does Rafaela ever take a pitch? Was he a lead-off hitter in the minors?

I really hope we get rid of Bobby D this offseason. He might be the worst hitter I've ever seen.
