I have a busy week ahead, so doing more than one of these will be a pain in the ass. Fortunately, it doesn’t matter, because we are going to lose 6-3.

You are wrong. We are not going to lose. Today, we are going to come in second. The Orioles will come in next to last.

Better than nothing I guess. But at least I don’t have to start the next game thread.

Game 142
Our quest for the playoffs keeps on glitching.
I’ll state the truth and hope it’s not snitching:
It seems our team just can’t hit good pitching.
Watching some games has led us to bitching.
Sights we have seen have left our eyes twitching.
(Don’t poke them out with needles for stitching!)
We’re down in the dumps, but we’re not ditching
our dreams or searching elsewhere and switching
allegiances by secretly hitching
fandoms to teams who are more bewitching.
Scratch out a win! I’m tired of itching.

WTF???

Like seriously, WTF, Cora.
Calculus is pretty simple here, I think: RHP starting who struggles with walks. Ceddane never walks, Wilyer might walk four times against Flaherty.

Also I think they may want to showcase Wilyer/see how he handles CF in Fenway

Realistically, we have our best shot at a win today with Flaherty pitching for the O’s. Of course if Sale could go 7 thus avoiding that cesspool of a bullpen for the most part that would be helpful.

Raining out here 2 hours W of Boston. Have no idea what that means for the game.
FS1 has Rays and Mariners starting now in the lovely confines of UGH Tropicana Field.

People are gonna be pissed... Wilyer starting in CF
I don't mind that as much as Valdez at 2B with Rafaela riding the bench again. I don't get why he isn't starting more, regardless of the position.

There’s an outside shot and a baseball code that you don’t throw in the towel yet.

It might also just be a seniority thing. Valdez and Abreu are real prospects who have spent much longer in AAA and so are first in line for a shot. They are, again, also both left-handed

I'd bet Rafaela is going to get in there to pinchit when a LHP comes on. He'll play today
