That was the cueto I expected in the ALDS and picked Astros accordingly.

He had a 6.11 ERA and 1.64 WHIP across 35 innings in September.

Mo Vaughn once said, "The price is going up every day."

Not so much for Johnny Cueto.

How do you explain his last outing?

I don't know. But he hasn't really been inconsistent before. He's been consistently very good since 2010. (In 2008-9, he wasn't really Johnny Cueto yet.)

I'm looking through his game logs. In 2014, he allowed four or more runs four times in 34 starts. He went at least eight innings fifteen times. That's... consistency.

He had a rough string of three starts in 2010, a mediocre September in 2012, and dealt with some injuries in 2013 that limited him to 11 starts, but this recent rough patch is basically without precedent in his career. That makes me think he's trying to tough it out to reach FA.

No big deal. KC will come out tomorrow and knock around Dickey.

Yup, the Royals objective is to win one of the three in Toronto. Sure, it would be great if they won a pair; but one win sets them up fine

Holy shit, Fox has AROD in the studio crew?!?
Great analysis too; "I think Toronto's bats will stay hot the rest of this home stand."

Home stand?

Looks like all that sauce he took over the years has pickled his brain.

Him and Pete Rose in the studio; just dig up Shoeless  Joe Jackson and go for the trifecta.

Playoff time means Pete Rose sketchers commercials!

The wrong side of the bridge....
Thought after watching Pillar's catch on mlb.com: Adam Jones will probably win the CF Gold Glove again. If so, I wonder if it will be the first time that a guy wins a Gold Glove as the fourth-best defender in his own division at his position (Pillar, Kiermaier, JBJ). Probably not, but still interesting to think what a glut of elite CF talent there is in the AL East right now.

After Bobby Abreu's Gold Glove I was out on the award.

Uh oh. KC accusing Blue Jays of stealing signs. Volquez says Cueto told him he felt Toronto might've been getting some help from CF stands.

Maybe Wakamatsu has confirmed to Yost that this actually does take place at Rogers Center.
Yankees accused Rivera and 1st base coach this year of giving pitch & location.
