Brady only showed up for like 2 throwing TDs too. The fact that he was way off on all of those dropped passes is similar to Jones 'falling' on Smith for the sack. He was supposed to motivated. Guess not.
I learned in the MVP thread that his rushing td was basically irrelevant and not very valuable since it was only from the one and they would have scored there anyway.

I'll take Pittsburgh. That Denver defense concerns me. The officiating concerns me. Playing in Denver concerns me. Meanwhile the Patriots own the Steelers.

That's where I'm at. I'm confident versus either team, but no fear against the Steelers at home. Denver's defense is legit and playing at home I could see a gritty game that comes down to a few plays and ref calls either way. I'd still take the Pats, but....the Steelers will be a surer bet.

Go f*ck yourself
Especially when your team has been in 6 of them recently. I specifically booked my week in Florida the week before the Super Bowl to kill time before the Pats play.
I saw cheap airfare and went completely dumb and blind to anything else at that moment. At any rate I also remembered I have a good friend (I must be a really great friend if I forgot that huh?) who lives in Kissimmee so I've lined up watching with him and his fam should the Pats get there. Self created crisis averted.

I have a similar crisis as Mr. Costanza. Stupid me booked a trip to Orlando next week, so I will be there for the AFCCG.
Not staying at any of the parks, our hotel (Caribe Royale) is just off of International Drive. So I need recommendations for a place to watch the game.

Brady's righty/lefty splits are pretty pronounced. Something to watch.

I am OK with either team, but would prefer Pittsburgh. Things rarely work out for us in Denver, regardless of how Denver is that year. I'd feel better if we knew Denver would be sub-40 degrees next week.

Ward will go straight to Gronk's knees on the first play.... You can bet on that

The Patriots need to get out to a huge lead and keep their foot on the gas. Anything close is going to Denver because the league has strong incentives to have Denver represent the AFC in the Superbowl.

Not looking forward to the inevitable OPI on Gronk in the endzone. Just hoping it comes with the Pats up 24-10 already.

The Belichick-Brady Patriots are 2-6 in Denver, 0-2 in the playoffs. Enough of the 'house of horrors' bullcrap. Barring injury, there is no reason that New England shouldn't roll next weekend. Let's do this.

I am 100% more scared of the refs than Manning. I think our defense is way better than Pitt's D, and they could hardly move the ball.

If we don't win next week, when will we win a playoff game there?

Peyton is done.

One concern -- we will be getting nothing close to the officiating the Steelers got today. Rooney rules and, of course, Pats rules.

Also, I cannot prove it, but I am convinced that the 4th quarter in that altitude is a pretty big problem for visitors -- especially if Denver dominates TOP.

Should be an interesting week. I'll chip in a few bucks for mailing horse manure to Spike. Who's heading that up anyway?
It would be spectacular to win this one and to do so going away. I just don't see that happening though. If NE can avoid turnovers I like our chances.

Less Chris harris is enormous for the Pats. He is their best corner as they can exploit Talib into dumb play.

Bum Harris Jr. is huge, it moves everyone down the chain. I don't believe they've used Talib much on Gronk, but they can afford to do it even less now, which leaves them with knee shots as their best defense for Gronk, because Ware is a disaster in coverage and they have nobody else. Who covers Amendola?

I feel almost too confident heading into this game. Prior games in Denver, etc., but they've never really lost a game where I think they have the roster advantage they have now. They probably coast to a win without Edelman and basically Amendola if Chris Harper doesn't drop a punt and there isn't some...good fortune for Denver down the stretch. If they can limit Andersen, I think it's a comfortable win.

Anderson is a real threat and they will obviously lean on him with Peyton resembling Duck Hunt. I don't know if it's a better strategy to take away the run or focus on Thomas and Sanders. I'd lean towards taking away Anderson for TOP purposes and putting the game on Peyton's shoulders, but I could see the Pats focusing on the pass game. Any bad weather should favor the Pats considering Brady and Manning's relative health.

A healthy Hightower (and hopefully 91) will go a long ways towards controlling their run game - that's going to be huge

I don't believe that bullshit for a second. Gamesmanship has already begun.
He missed significant snaps today and his arm was dangling the entire time. He's also a hothead who can't resist spouting off what's on his mind, it actually almost sounded like a message to coaches that he didn't want to be out there, given his arm. He's clearly hurt significantly.

I thought he played a lot of snaps, but I'm probably wrong. He looked OK on one tackle in particular late in the game - I think on the drive that the French guy fumbled.

If there's one team that's not going to be swayed by public comments over injuries, it's the Patriots

the disrespect this meme is showing Rich Gannon really annoys me, especially since it misses a Brady SuperBowl.
