Really is amazing. Headed towards their 3rd playoff DNQ in a row and 4th out of 5 years.
The 3rd goal is not getting enough love, IMO. Bergeron kicked it nearly straight into Pasta's skates, but he shifted his feet and got his "hands inside the ball" as they say in baseball so he could get something on the shot. 99% of players either whiff or heel it or lose their balance while trying or some combination of those.Great win tonight!! Hatty Pasta!!
Also Pastrnak doing a little raise the roof cheer aimed at Marchand. But the best was him sending Marchand "down the line" for high fives on the bench ahead of him, the goal scorer. Just a great display of teamwork and selflessness. My favorite part of the first goal (outside my orgasm) was seeing Bergy come in the background after Pasta scored. He had both hands on his head in a “Holy shit that just happened” type of way. Cool to see players geek out like that.
Thanks for calling this out. I started late on my DVR and blew past the intermission. Went back and watched it. Crazy to see how fast they worked and how much their act was together. What a breakdown of the response to Bouwmeester. Wow!
If it was this guy that’s helping Chris Kelly off the ice, it was Dr. Peter Asnis, the team doctor. Thanks for calling this out. I started late on my DVR and blew past the intermission. Went back and watched it. Crazy to see how fast they worked and how much their act was together.
I went to the AZ game on Saturday, sat right near the Bs bench. On the way in, as they scanned our ticket, a guy walked in next to us and the usher asked if he had a ticket. He said 'no' and flashed a credential around his neck. We were on the escalator with him and he made some small talk with my son and his 88 jersey, and I tried to sneak a peek at his credentials, but they looked like generic corporate/hospital type tags around his neck. So we're sitting right along the runway where the Bs come out, 5 rows back from ice, 3 from the bench. Just before the game the same guy comes down the runway. They open a little door and let him into the first row behind the bench, on the runway aisle. I'm now wondering if this is the Bruins version of the "ER doctor in the 8th row" that the Blues had.
https://sports.yahoo.com/news/nhl-adds-er-doctor-at-every-game--league-learns-from-jiri-fischer--rich-peverley-cardiac-incidents-221633710-nhl.htmlNow, after the [Peverley] incident last season, the NHL has strengthened its standards further. Each team needs three doctors near the benches at each home game – an orthopedist, a primary care physician and an ER physician – and at least one, if not all, must have current training in ATLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Does he wear the A because he assisted on all of the Bruins goals?Jeff Petry had a very bad game. Dafoomie made a video about it.

On the first goal, Pasta just points at Marchand as if to say "nope, all credit to him".
Worth it.Chara picked up a $5K fine for the Gallagher cross check.

Me: I'm not going to watch a 7 minute breakdown of...Have you had enough of that first goal? No? Good, because here's Justin Bourne breaking it down millisecond by millisecond:
