Can Adam Kaufman of The Globe get a little love around here?

So how does a guy like AJ, apparently hated by nearly everyone with whom he has played, get a gig on the World Series stage for Fox?  He have embarrassing pictures of someone?  Buck naked?  McCarver leaving the clueless academy?

Well, no former or current teammates of AJ were going to invite him to join any fishing, hunting or golf trips, so he was available where many others were not...   Presumably he is also so despicable that his wife and two children also do not want to spend time with him.

"Being hated by everyone" is a different skill-set than being competent on TV.
He was actually pretty good on TV in the limited time I saw him.

But getting back to the thread....no love from these parts. Based on his work this year, anything resembling a good column today is part of the broken clock being right twice a day.

I don't disagree, Joe, I thought he was OK on TV too.  I just don't know how he got the gig, if in fact he's as unpopular as he seems to be.

And I agree on Kaufman, too.  Not much has impressed me so far.

The first time I ever saw porn was using Adam Kaufman's computer.  That's all I got.

Wrong on both counts.  No relation, don't know him. Just thought the kid could use some kudos for jumping on the "forget about AJ" platform as soon as Carfardo yelled "All Aboard!" for the AJ bandwagon.

What part of a) disagreeing with Cafardo and/or b) thinking AJP would be a bad choice for the Red Sox deserves praise as original thought?

So what is Adam Kaufman really like DBGS? What are his hopes, his dreams?

Does he bleed like other men? Can he turn a full-sized automobile into twisted metal with just his bare hands? Can he single-handed reunite the cast of 'Friends'?

Drew will sign a multiyear deal as an unencumbered FA in a couple of weeks. The Red Sox have no interest in offering Drew a multiyear contract. End of story, except the local mediots need something to write about.

Yesterday Utility Lou said that if the Sox had signed Drew and played X at 3rd, they'd have 4-5 more wins.  I was dumbfounded.
