I attempted to make a call on my cell phone in a moving vehicle yesterday...it wouldn't accept/acknowledge my entries until the vehicle stopped moving. Does anyone have any insight into why?
Have you downloaded an app like SafeCell (there are others, like Driveoff, Drivemode, Textbuster, DriveScribe, and Canary), all off which are intended to disable the phone functions to varying degrees while driving.
It's possible you may have downloaded any of these or something like them inadvertently (it could have been wrapped in another download and you may not be aware).
Verizon is the carrier through Straight Talk....I'm going to assume I downloaded an app that disabled the keypad function in a moving vehicle...all for the best.

Straight Talk uses the AT&T network, not Verizon.
An app makes more sense... I'm not sure why any carrier would do this themselves since there's no way for them to tell if someone is a passenger or not.
