Shooter off the bench? What other moves are left to make? Seems like this could be it barring an out of nowhere trade.
Nothing of consequence. What other moves are left to make? Seems like this could be it barring an out of nowhere trade.
Yup.If he's willing to venture out to the burbs - Commonwealth in Wrentham has the best ribs outside of BT's in the state.
We're trying to prop up edoug as an Avatar. He can't read this thread guys.
Tweet him.
He's no sheep shagger...Lose a Canadian, gain a Kiwi.
Another plug for Redbones, though haven't been in 2-3 years either, also heard good things about Goody Coles if you can get as far north as Brentwood NHRedbones wasn't terrible but I haven't lived in town in 15+ years.
Redbones is second-tier on purely food to @Spelunker's choices (also M&M if that dude's still kicking)Another plug for Redbones, though haven't been in 2-3 years either, also heard good things about Goody Coles if you can get as far north as Brentwood NH
Excellent call on M&M. Man, I miss the heady days of having a reason to go to Newmarket, between M&M and Speeds.Redbones is second-tier on purely food to @Spelunker's choices (also M&M if that dude's still kicking)
Absolutely. Best beer list, great feel/location, good apps...and mediocre BBQRedbones is second-tier on purely food to @Spelunker's choices (also M&M if that dude's still kicking)
What was his player option that he turned down worth? Something like $ 6.5m? So he took a small hit, but gets to play for a winning team as a trade off.He can't be too happy with his agent. Interesting cap related off season any way you look at it. I love the Baynes signing. Only had we gotten Dedmon instead for this cheap would I be happier.
It might be because if he turned down a player option for more, he might have done that because agent said he could get him more.Seems like the right signing. Not sure why people would expect him to sign for more, however. He's a thirty year old backup center with three full seasons in the league?
This is probably the first time I have agreed with anything you've posted here. Love Pit Stop. Get the brisket. No love for the Pit Stop in Mattapan? Best (and cheapest) beef ribs in town.
A 33% salary cut is not a small hit. His agent drastically misread the market as did I and others......there was talk earlier this year of a multi-year, $10m AAV deal out there for him similar to Olynyk's.What was his player option that he turned down worth? He done messed up A-a-ron.Hate the signing.
After all, who spells their name "Aron"?
That would be nuts; he's four years older and a level below the player Olynyk is.A 33% salary cut is not a small hit. His agent drastically misread the market as did I and others......there was talk earlier this year of a multi-year, $10m AAV deal out there for him similar to Olynyk's.
That talk had to have been based on the Mozgov/Mahinmi deals. That would be nuts; he's four years older and a level below the player Olynyk is.
I suppose in this scenario, the agent envisioned Olynyk getting more money, too.
Yes, nobody in Detroit expected him to opt-in for the $6.5m but things move fast in FA and there are always a subset of FA who get the short end of it each year. I certainly didn't expect us to be able to acquire an experienced 2nd unit rotation big for $4.3m......but as I've preached ad nauseum that is Ainge's M.O. for his second unit guys while allowing non-full time players like Posey, Baby, Perkins and Olynyk to get overpaid elsewhere. That talk had to have been based on the Mozgov/Mahinmi deals.
