Welker did his ACL right around this time in January and was back for the next season.
This impending touchdown should just about seal this game.

Yeaaaaa I have faith he’ll improve. He might not but his play design is out of this world great regardless.
This first half was damn boring. I don’t expect Georgia to be able to much to make the 2nd half any better unfortunately. Alabama hasn’t given up a TD in the last six quarters of a title game.
Williams injury/Georgia defense will keep this close, but Georgia needs a big special teams play or defensive TD.

What in the world is Saban doing? They could have forced third and long with about 1:20 left. Instead he lets the clock wind down. Very odd.
I agree, I’m having fun watching this. So often ‘defensive battles’ are really the offenses playing like shit. This isn’t. I like Alabama but Georgia’s D is fun as hell to watch. They don’t just play well but every hit seems like something they’re doing to make Rodney Harrison proud of them.

It was an awful throw, but the CB is holding him up the whole way, not looking for the ball. Hard to see how that's not a flag.
Sure but they were on like their own 8-10 yard line, running the ball into the center of the line, showing no interest in trying to actually score.
Agree. I don’t find this boring. I think it’s refreshing that a game like this can still happen. And from I’ve watched, it’s dominating defense. Not incompetent offense.
Standard BB style playcalling before the half-conservative until you get some yardage and control of the clock and only then start playing aggressively

They churn out incredible RB talent year after year. Of course, they're recruiting 4 and 5 star athletes at that position all the time.
