I’m starting to understand why scouts feel one of them is not like the others. Penix has made a couple throws in this drive that McCarthy doesn’t even dream of making.
I honestly believe Penix will get picked in the first round. He has attributes that feel NFL like in terms of processing and eluding pressure
Oh I don’t know about this stuff, but the dude is about as smooth an athlete as I’ve seen. Reminds me of Floyd Mayweather a bit with that balance and economy of effort.
My dream remains MHJ in the first round, Penix in the second. I’m holding onto it.
The announcers said you can’t go low on an engaged player but he didn’t seem to be engaged. Maybe a different rule?
Ya, he looked like he was going out to block 6. His teammate had the other Tx player towards the inside
The low block? Defense definitely can’t go low there. Questionable as to whether the initial contact was actually below the waist but he was definitely trying to go low.
I asked my son. The recently enacted ban on low blocks applies to offense and defense alike. You never see it called because most guys are smart enough not to commit such an obvious foul.

I agree. He's going to get a real shot to come in and start from someone. I don't think he gets by #20 in R1.
Neither team can go low on anyone, engaged or not, outside the tackle box.
Washington needs to keep scoring. Their propensity to arm tackle is not going to play well when it gets to be later in the game.
Do football players have finals?
Guessing they do in Austin and Ann Arbor at the very least
