Are there other people here who still believe this? I think he's become a shrieking, cliche-ridden parody of himself who no longer possesses even a shred of nuance - I actively try to avoid games he's commentating on.
I think he's passable for a game of importance with back-and-forth drama like today, but generally agree with you that he's become an obnoxious muppet who detracts from a game with his fake voice and grunting.
