I feel for Kelly, and have defended the contract, but for right now, I don't think there is much of an on-ice loss. He's been bad.

Bad on draw and a drag on possession. He was better last season, so perhaps some of the poor #'s this year can be attributed to a slow start and SSS, but the bottom line is that he hasn't been very good. Filling his PK minutes will be the biggest challenge, but Talbot's no stranger to the PK and can step into that role. They were at a crappy 75% before he went down, so it's not like he was the lynchpin for a dominant PK unit to begin with.
