No because it was both guys just going for the ball on a jump ball kind of play. They’d never call that OPI.

He was very good last week. He's not a perfect back but he can make plays and you want to give him a chance to make those plays.

So let’s say that GB returned that for a TD. Could Tampa challenge it was a touchback? I figured once the guy picked it up and ran with it it nullified the dead ball there.

I don’t understand, he ran it out, how is that different from any other run out? Is it automatic when it bounces in end zone?
No, runback is nullified if it hits the ground in the EZ without being touched, auto touchback, even if he took that to the house.
Yea the rule changed a few years ago that’s why you see guys just walk away when it’s landing in the end zone
I remember the weird play in the HOU/BUF game last year where they called a TD onside recovery on a ball in the EZ, was overturned but crazy to see called a TD live
If Mahomes is healthy and the Chiefs win today, neither of these defenses will come anywhere close to stopping him.
