No because it was both guys just going for the ball on a jump ball kind of play. They’d never call that OPI.Should have been OPI against Godwin - he bumped into the defender's face in a way that affected his jump - but whatever.
He bumped him but that’s not a penalty. Incredibly lucky play as Brady just threw it up for grabs.Should have been OPI against Godwin - he bumped into the defender's face in a way that affected his jump - but whatever.
He was very good last week. He's not a perfect back but he can make plays and you want to give him a chance to make those plays. He makes a run like that but will have ten below avg runs
Probably figured if it got picked it’s as good as a punt on third and very long.He bumped him but that’s not a penalty. Incredibly lucky play as Brady just threw it up for grabs.
Yeah that's weird.Wait, he ran with it so why is it a touchback? You get a free call option on whether to return it?
Ball is dead if it lands in the end zone untouchedEven if this does hit in the end zone, that doesn't stop him from picking it up and running it out, does it?
Yea, I’m not getting this.Even if this does hit in the end zone, that doesn't stop him from picking it up and running it out, does it?
The Aarons get the ball to start, you know...Field position battle has been heavily favoring the Bucs.
Ok. Makes sense.Ball is dead if it lands in the end zone untouched
No, runback is nullified if it hits the ground in the EZ without being touched, auto touchback, even if he took that to the house.Does the fact he ran it back matter?
All scoring plays are reviewed. So let’s say that GB returned that for a TD. Could Tampa challenge it was a touchback? I figured once the guy picked it up and ran with it it nullified the dead ball there.
Ok say they ran it back to the TB one yard line thenAll scoring plays are reviewed.
Ah, good to know. Guess I've never seen that scenario since the rule change.Ball is dead if it lands in the end zone untouched
Yea the rule changed a few years ago that’s why you see guys just walk away when it’s landing in the end zoneSo basically if it lands in the end zone it's a TB?
I remember the weird play in the HOU/BUF game last year where they called a TD onside recovery on a ball in the EZ, was overturned but crazy to see called a TD liveAh, good to know. Guess I've never seen that scenario since the rule change.
