Like a 17 year old union soldier with his first taste of battle... drops his gun and runs at the first sight of the enemy.
He had a massive pocket and was dancing around under no pressure whatsoever, not looking downfield at all.
It's more of the internal clock turning off within 2.5 seconds or so.
Looked like he might have made a little feint to go upfield rather than straight out when he got to the sideline.
He saw all the defenders right and ran left for a long gain.
I mean, you're going to shit on Mac for rushing for 18 yards?
IDK Mac clearly initiated the contact himself at the end of that play. I know he's supposed to be our d-bag, but still...
So, things are going to get more condensed in the red zone. Colts are so set up for play action here. If we run into stacked boxes and have to kick it will be really diappointing.
The sad part is that a win here plunges us deeper into NFL mediocrity from which there is no escape.
I’m wondering if the Colts are running the old school Belichick: Fine, do that thing that technically works but scores you no actual points.
Definite concerns here that the Pats will punch it in, pick-6 Minshew and screw their draft position.
This. I am afraid a few too many wins means Mac starts again next year. That is a very scary thought.
