By the way I hate this stat. They’ve won multiple games when trailing by more than 5 IN the fourth quarter. It’s just when the quarter started they didn’t.
yeah but it’s not super misleading. Their offense IS designed to play from in front. They rely heavily on playactionBy the way I hate this stat. They’ve won multiple games when trailing by more than 5 IN the fourth quarter. It’s just when the quarter started they didn’t.
And that’s just a random moment in time in a game.
Also the defenses have been heavily pass-rush centered, they don't hold up against the run lateyeah but it’s not super misleading. Their offense IS designed to play from in front. They rely heavily on playaction
Of course, but Brady’s team was tied though, had OT to fall back on. Love had to get points. The toughest thing for a young guy in that situation is to understand how much time he has. A pass out of bounds there is a good play. They had 50 seconds and two timeouts left. That's an eternity. Just an inexcusably dumb play.
Makes me appreciate Brady's patience on the final drive of SB XXXVI all the more.
Dumb play regardless, there wasn’t 8-10 seconds left or something.Of course, but Brady’s team was tied though, had OT to fall back on. Love had to get points.
If Love needed to get a TD, I'd concede your point. But he only needed another 30 yards for a FG attempt, and he had 52 seconds and two TOs left.Of course, but Brady’s team was tied though, had OT to fall back on. Love had to get points.
Also, it is a random number. They probably picked 5 because it makes the 0-fee work, suggesting -4 would have told a much different story. Last night, the first play of the fourth quarter was a FG so it became -4 by 14:56 left.By the way I hate this stat. They’ve won multiple games when trailing by more than 5 IN the fourth quarter. All quarterbacks probably do it though (throw back across the body) at one time or another. The speed of the game, the receiver might’ve been open, if briefly, they can’t help themselves. An analogy might be in baseball where all hitters at one time or another swing at fastballs up around their eyes even though they can’t catch up with them.Dumb play regardless, there wasn’t 8-10 seconds left or something.
I really want the Lions to win, but I just don't think they will. They should have put away last week a number of times and barely got through.Go Lions, and, later on, Bills.
I’m rooting for the ChiefsGo Lions, and, later on, Bills.
Daniels founded a theater company where he grew up in Chelsea, MI, named the Purple Rose ... after the Woody Allen film he didMan this Jeff Daniels narrated piece has serious Red Sox 2003/2004 vibes.
Lots of pressure on them last week. Should hopefully be settled down.I really want the Lions to win, but I just don't think they will. They should have put away last week a number of times and barely got through.
A sternly worded missive to NBC should fix thatPet peeve: don’t use the regular season records in the persistent score graphic. TB is 10-8, DET is 13-5.
I don’t write for pet peeves. Just for peeves.A sternly worded missive two NBC should fix that
Yeah, putting your body between a tackler and the guy with the ball is very impressive.Nice block at end there wow
impressive for a defender
Separate from one of the players saying it was his alma mater?Tirico continuing his 20+ year streak of finding a way to mention Syracuse in every broadcast.
Mike Evans' hands?Out of every one to throw a pick too…
That was more than thatYeah, putting your body between a tackler and the guy with the ball is very impressive.
Yeah, that.Defensive holding on a run. That is something you don't see too often
Lol.This is one of those drives where you know they are going to score but it just hasn't happened yet.
