Goff is going to be destroyed in SF by the Niners defense. First off, he's much worse on the road. He's a completely different player. Second, SF brings the pain and Goff can't move.
Can't tell if by these posts you hate Goff, or you're trying some 4-D reverse psychology

You may be right. But their defense didn’t look that amazing yesterday. And I am kind of rooting for Goff at this point.

BTW I watched the DYJ from 2018 and while Belichick knows how to confuse him—I keep thinking if the four hitches he took before making that throw to Cooks that JMac broke up—he’s def. matured as a QB since.

Is it enough? I’m not sure. But it will be fun to see.

I am rooting for TB this game, but I like Goff.

But Goff cannot handle pressure and he sucks on the road. The splits are bad. These are just the facts. He has the biggest range of QB production when facing no pressure versus facing pressure out of any QB in the NFL.

He’s been really good against the blitz though and the Lions are good at picking it up, which is why they’re shredding Tampa who rely on blitzing. The Niners will need to get to him with 4 which they’re fully capable of. I think it could be a good game.

I know the math makes sense but I would love to know the 2PT conversion % in these specific "down by 14, score a TD, go for 2 in the 4th quarter" situations.

Anecdotally it seems like they so rarely get it. Maybe I just am watching the wrong games.

Detroit has 2 teams that have won back to back titles and Ann Arbor has won plenty in several sports.
Thank you Ale. I forgot the Pistons and Red Wings recent dominance. I wasn't aware that all Detroit fans also root for Michigan (I have met some who aren't believe it or not).

Here
McCauley just gave the standard for when the defender is looking for and playing the ball, did he not? Does "significantly hinders" matter when your head is not turned? I thought it did not.

I will never understand that decision.
If you figure you're better than 50% on the conversion, then going for it twice ON AVERAGE gets you the 2 points to tie if you got 1 for 2. You get it the first time, you win the next time by kicking.

Well, apparently the Spartans won back to back in the early 50s, so they got something going for them too.

If Evans comes back to the ball there is a ton of contact and it's a no doubt PI call.

But they way he just kept floating backwards, the contact ended up being pretty minimal, think it was the right no call.
