If it was it's an even worse call. The yellow for handball is something refs never call but at least he handled it. If it's for a dive it's just a bad call since he was fouled.Yellow was for a dive I thought
It was for handling. You could see that the ref had his arm raised for indirect free kick on the restart. If it was it's an even worse call. The yellow for handball is something refs never call but at least he handled it. If it's for a dive it's just a bad call since he was fouled.
I'm selfishly rooting for all of my MCFC players and targets to be eliminated so I'd normally agree but it's pretty hard to want Italy to be rewarded for this one. There's a fine line between defending responsibly and trying to spring forward and just playing negative boring dross and this has been much more of the latterReally hope Germany lose on penalties. They've been pathetic in attack.
I don't know why he was signaling indirect, but thought that they only call indirect free kicks for obstruction or certain handlings, but not for simulation. Could be wrong though. Why would it be an indirect kick for handball? Have the laws changed that much? If it's not a deliberate handball it's not a foul.
Yeah, I might have it backwards, though goalkeeper handling infractions are indirect I think. All handballs are supposed to be direct, i think, but I don't ref. A yellow for diving maybe would be given as an indirect.
