This exactly. He represents hope.I'm going with Jones just because he represents hope that if Cam struggles we may have a better option. All of the tools in the world are useless if you have no arms.
Good point. Mills has the ability to be sneaky good.Jalen Mills deserves a spot on that list.
My answer is Mac Jones because, as others have said, he brings hope to the most important position.
Great minds.Matt Judon - he is the "ass-kicker" we have been missing at edge since Chandler Jones left. Judon doesn't just set the edge - he collapses it. He is also really smooth in the games the like to play (twists and stunts). I know analysts poo-pooed Judon because a lot of his production came from games but he's damn good at them and he's going to a system, NE, where they use... a ton of games to get pass rush production. I didn't want Judon originally because I felt like he would cost $20m+ a year and he was a tick older. They got him for 13.625m a year. That's insane value for a guy with his skills.
Edit: they needed a guy who was good against the pass and the run on the edge. After being historically bad against the run last year and lacking in pass rush production they got a guy who will immediately help with both.
I ran out of poll responses, sadly. He was my next one.How did Rhamondre Stevenson not make the list? Not only is his name awesome, watching defenders bounce off him is pure football pr0n.
Henry may well be better, but Jonnu could be a lot more fun. Moving around, doing different things, getting carries, etc.Interesting to me that Jonnu is getting 3x as many votes as Henry when they're comparable players in terms of production. Also feel like Judon is underrepresented. He could easily be the most impactful player of the bunch and profiles as an exciting player to watch.
In the same vein, I voted Other, because there will be someone that comes out of nowhere to be better (or a better story) than all of these players. My early bet is Raekwon McMillan, but Cam didn't sign until June 28 last year.I won't be replying on this thread until they add a UDFA or two. I know why they haven't, but I always pick one of those.
+1. I voted for Henry because he had a ton of receptions last year, and TDs can be so noisy. But Jonnu should get the benefit of not being in the most run-heavy O next season. Judon is my vote for the D. HM for Agholor--a true deep threat. This thread is all the giddy. It is the two headed TE monster of Jonnu & Henry for me, followed closely by Judon.
The Patriots threw the ball 45 fewer times than the Titans last year, so I'm not sure volume is going to be much of an improvement.+1. Holy hell, I temporarily forgot that the Pats had Cam last year--I autopiloted to just assuming that TEN Derrick Henry'd their way to being last in pass attempts, when in reality they were 3rd to last (Baltimore was last). Have to think the Pats look for far more balance this year though, regardless of who's slinging it.The Patriots threw the ball 45 fewer times than the Titans last year, so I'm not sure volume is going to be much of an improvement.
For shits and giggles you should look at the Jests QB history. As mediocre as some of those NE QBs were, they'd be near the top of New York's list.A total of 6 guys have started almost 80% of all Patriots games at QB. Brady (283), Grogan (135), Bledsoe (123), Parilli (83), Plunkett (61), Eason (49). Not a huge number of guys for 62 years of history.
