Anyone catch Felger going nuts on what a p*ssy Lebron is? At the end of the show they were playing the 80's tune The Warrior over Lebron's post game comments, I was dying laughing. He did a great Shaugnessy impersenation as well, had never heard him do that one before....

He was clamoring for Kovaldog too and that guy didn't do shit the entire time he was in Jersey.

I'm sorry, I can't let this slide. He scored at a point-per-game rate with the Devils, right in line with his career average. It's rather impressive that he was able to maintain his production not facing the sieves of the Southeast anymore and adjusting on the fly with constantly different linemates and in a defense-first system. Furthermore, he played hard defensively, so "Kovaldog" (ROFL) doesn't apply. Plus, he was one of the few players that registered a pulse in the playoffs. If you want to look at why this team choked in the playoffs, you might want to look at the captain that's such an embarrassing, pathetic, and gutless disgrace that he'd send JulE6 into convulsions. Ilya Kovalchuk is about reason #8676868787 that the Devils are at home now.

You've had your ass handed to you repeatedly in RMPS for saying stupid shit, and this is no different. Furthermore, you'd rather root for your prediction than the Devils, considering you rooted for the Flyers against the Rangers, which created the worst possible matchup for the Devils.

Thank you for that throwback, Nader.

Yeah, they're totally comparable.

While I love the three cups, the drawback is that it creates the mikefords of the world. I still can't get over that you rooted for the Flyers. Hell, you probably kept rooting for them in the playoffs to validate your prediction.

Are you on drugs? Nothing in the world could make me root for the Rangers. No circumstances. None.

It has nothing to do with my prediction and everything to do with hate.

Hmm...I wonder who the texter/avid listener from EEI is?

My guess is Dale, considering the text was hockey related and Felger has dropped subtle references before that Dale is a regular listener.

Any other guesses? Is it weird that I'm mildly curious?

Yeah...Haggery is a good bet. McAdam isn't a bad guess either, though he is probably on the road with the Sox so I don't think it was him.

McAdam was my first guess, but Haggrty makes sense too.

Playing Barry White in the background while Mazz was defending Varitek had me in stitches.

Hey guys I lurk here quite often & was looking for some information regarding the Felger & Mazz show & felt this would be the best place to put this. I am from Canada & up until April 1st I could listen to the Felger show on The Sports Hub. Since April 1st I can't get the station via the Internet any longer here in Canada. I am assuming since it is a CBS affiliate that they just don't allow the feed into Canada but am not quite sure.

I enjoyed the show & was really looking forward to listening to the hockey talk on the Felger show this time of year. Does anyone else have a problem listening to that program now or is there some information someone can provide to me on why Canadian's can't listen to the station via the internet anymore? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Not an answer to your direct problem. But I have had a similar problem watching certain British shows, on their faq's it has explained the problem as them limiting access to IP adresses to only those from Great Britain. Pandora does the same thing and limits access to only United States IP's.

This entry from the CBS Wiki may be the answer to your question QUOTE
"On February 4th 2010, all CBS radio stations, as well as AOL Radio and Yahoo! Music Radio have banned all non U.S. listeners from streaming online content. CBS Radio redirects to a paid service for non U.S. listeners."

Hope this helps, it's a stab in the dark but better than nothing I suppose.

They do that often but the fact that they basically made it through the entire song that time around... just got progressively more hilarious.

I really enjoy when Chris Gasper joins Felger and Mazz. I'd actually prefer if here were the full-time co-host with Felger. He challenges Felger, is well informed, and doesn't have Mazz's grating voice.

I enjoy him too...until he starts talking baseball. He SUCKS talking baseball. A few months ago he was explaining how JD Drew is one of the worst players on the team "because you can't count on him since he misses too many games"...and he's another guy who giggles at anything statistical such as UZR. Also, he says that Theo falls in love with other teams players and does't appreciate his own (explaining how the Sox blew it by not signing Bay to a long term deal). Maybe it's just me but I want to punch him in the face when he strays from football or basketball. That said, I do love his Pats coverage.

Really I find this Pats coverage to be Ron Borges "lite".

I think he is the type of writer that takes the contrarian view just for the sake of doing it. I find his articles at the globe are generally light on substance and saturated with him trying to show us how smart he is.

I really disagree. I think his Pats coverage as great and I don't find him that much of a contrarian. He's been very Pro Patriot for the most part. I know he picked against NE quite a bit last season but a lot of his points turned out to be spot on (he picked Baltimore to beat NE in the playoffs). That said, he's still a big Brady/Belichick guy and love his insight either way. Agree to disagree I guess.

PS - Your username is incredibly immature and brilliant at the same time. Kudos.

Mazz: "We were texting during the game, back and forth."

Felger: "We've gotten a little G-A-Y like that."

So which website starts the shitstorm?

Umm, Felger has been doing that for the entirety of his run on TSH. And as far as the texting in specific goes, he's been saying that for a couple weeks now. It's tongue in cheek, and Felger constantly pokes fun of himself for it. Hell, he's had an NFL player ask him to his face if he was gay. It's pretty much been a running joke for him.

I don't think anything will come of it.

The man does seem awfully obsessed with anything and everything gay. I know he has a hot wife and all but I think he really needs to come out of the closet.

I was listening today and they were ragging on Adam Jones for saying Lebron was hurt and it's why they were losing, etc. etc. Felger quoted a text from Jones saying something like "the elbow is definitely affecting him" and Mazz immediately goes into "definitely, definitely, definitely" ala Rain Man - It lasted for all of 3 seconds, but hell was it funny - most I've laughed at Mazz ever.

Felger has his head jammed shoulder-deep up his own asshole, as usual. Today, he's excoriating Danny Ainge for TowelGate, calling him a dink and a whiner, etc. Some older fan called up to defend Ainge and call Felger out as a hater because he was a Bucks fan while Ainge and the C's were kicking Milwaukee's ass and winning rings. Felger shouts him down with his typical misinformation, finishing up with this zinger going into a break:

"He bit Tree Rollins! What more do you need to know!?"

A lot, Mike. You need to know a lot more, actually.

I think Felger is just riling people up to generate discussion. He knows Tree bit Danny. With such a long gap in between games, it's just nonsense to pass the time. It's either that or more crap about Lebron's elbow.

He should have led off with the B's today, though. Big game tonight and all.

I'm sure Bruins talk is being saved for the drive-time hour. Though I do agree the rest of this stuff is inconsequential compared to a Game 3 2nd round playoff game.

He spent the first hour feeding his Celtics hatred by talking about the Danny Ainge towel tossing incident. I guess he hasn't figured out that anyone who wanted to hear about the Celtics today is listening to Ordway. It really should be all Bruins all the time today.

You're first paragraph is spot on. Felger is incredibly biased against the C's. He made a good point about Ainge today, saying that if Bill Polian or Pat Riley had done something similar to Ainge's actions the other night, Boston fans would be up in arms. But overall, it's way to hard to take Celtic talk serious with Felger because he is full of childhood hate stemming back to his days in Hillbillyland, WI.

However, I think Ahriman is 100% correct - Felger is joking about the Tree Rollins biting incident. I've heard him say it many times and everyone corrects him and if you see him say it (like on Sports Sunday or Comcast), he is always smirking. I think it's like how he always says Tuukka is from Sweeden (or is it Norway??? but I know he knows Tuukka is Finnish).

Do you really think he's intentionally cranking out total misinformation, without a correction, to simply rile up people that know better? Rollins bit Ainge 25 years ago, it's not as if anyone under 35 would know that Felger's just "trying to generate discussion". The average fan will take it at face value and assume the hometown GM bit another player instead of the exact opposite. It's dishonest at best, irresponsible and slanderous at worst.

I know sports radio is aimed at the lowest common denominator, and I truly don't take it very seriously, but Felger does this stuff all the time. He knows much less about sports than 90% of the SoSH membership, and I can barely listen to his show anymore. Whenever I do, I hear crap like today, and normally I quickly turn the channel in disgust. Today I listened when they came back from break to see if Felger would make a correction, but he didn't. He still has no idea he's completely wrong, so he continues to trumpet his smarmy opinion unchecked. Felger is insufferable. I know he's much loved on this board, but he's all sizzle and no steak. His sports knowledge sucks, which would be fine if it wasn't, you know... his fucking job.

To me, that's not good entertainment.

I can't listen to his show every day and watch his TV shows every night, and I'm sure most fans can't. How many people are "in" on the joke? It's pretty arrogant of him to assume that everyone will realize he's just doing "Felger schtick", because most casual listeners will take the information at face value. Does he think he's Howard Stern now? Intentionally pissing people off to generate emails and phone calls is worse than the low-brow garbage on Ordway's Big Show. I expected more when Boston finally got a sports radio alternative, but it's just more of the same. Life's too short to get played by uniformed jackholes.

Just now they read a deluge of texts correcting Felger about the Tree Rollins/Danny Ainge thing, all the while you could practically hear Felger smirking. This is what he does.

Shortly after the Sports Hub launched, there was a segment about the station on one of the local news shows. One of the clips was of Felger saying "this will really get them going", or something to that effect, right before the show was about to go on air. When he feels there's not much to talk about with one of the teams, he goes into message board troll mode.

Anyway, I agree with jsinger. The B's should be driving the show today. They could easily reset the conservation for drive-time.
