Miami (oh, Miami!)
Yoshida needs to forget everything anyone ever told him about American baseball and just go back to his Japanese form/approach. If he's only a .270 hitter with a ton of walks that'd be a huge jump from whatever the hell he's doing now.

The post-its inventor is a Romy fan. That's cool but how do you happen to know that?
English is like, my first language, man. You can't expect me to implement it properly every time.

What I meant was, "almost as much as I am a fan of the person who invented Post Its." But I am probably the only person here who gets that reference.

I think I'm going to become a Romy fan. Almost as much as the person who invented Post-It Notes..
My mother's godmother, one of the most quintessential 'old Italian ladies' you ever met, was a Romey (short for Romelia). I have been a fan of this pickup ever since.

Imo, the problem with the Reyes at bat was not the decision to bunt; it was his inability to do so. Yoshi puts the ball in play but is a double play machine - it was a perfectly fine time to bunt. It’s pathetic when a non stud hitter can’t even do it.

It's simple actually. He needs to sit in a quiet room and ask himself, "what would a good hitter do"? And then he needs to do that thing.

I did know what you meant, to be fair. I saw a cheap shot and I took it. Because: (1) you're the kind of guy here who can take it, and (2) that's the kind of shithead I am.

Just checked, Reyes had 2 bunts last season.
Out of how many attempts?
Very very few hitters can bunt on command. It may portend thecend of civilization, but its a fact. So its both a bad play and one thats unlikely to be performed successfully.

I think hes got the "forgetting about hitting" part down.

Unknown, but the 2 last year are his only successful bunts in his MLB career.

It’s a vicious circle. Analytics hate bunting, less players are asked to do it so they don’t practice it so when they’re asked to do it they suck at it.

I totally get devers not knowing how to do it but if you’re Reyes, how do you not know how to put down a bunt. It blows my mind

He probably "knows how."
(I know what you mean. I think its a skill that some guys suck at. Like fielding.)
