I suppose that's a better way of looking at it instead of saying he has an ERA north of 7 and provided absolutely nothing to the Red Sox last season.
His 3 IP, 5 H, 4 ER (3 homers!) save will be remembered forever. Perhaps it can at least lead to abolishment of the ridiculous 3 innings to close a win save rule.

Even ignoring those kinds of weird injuries, I'm not convinced that his arm/body can hold up under the physical stress that "being great" puts on them.
We'll see. I'm at peace with the trade for Grissom though, regardless of what Sale does or does not do in ATL.
I want Sale to succeed in Atlanta and I still really like the trade. I hope that both of them have really good seasons, Grissom for obvious reasons, but Sale because the league is more fun with more kickass left handed pitchers in it, and the Braves are a really fun team to watch.

No doubt about it. Especially if he wins one with Philly. I think (not sure) that he might be the first GM to win a World Series with three different teams. If so, that's really impressive.
So Sale's healthy, and Grissom has an injury of indefinite duration.
Still fine with it. No matter what the outcomes it was a smart trade.
