Going to need the Bruins best game of the series tonight. Don’t give them any reason to have hope.
I'm someone who admittedly has not watched most of the regular season, so what's the story with this? Is the league cracking down on perceived impermissible tactics league wide (aka 'points of emphasis in NFL speak), did some team(s) bitch enough to the league office or officials about Bergy's faceoff play that they're on high alert, or is this an isolated crew-specific annoyance?By extension, whatever asshat is dropping the puck will have to be a bit less of an asshat. The histrionics every freaking face-off with the guy refusing to drop it because he just HAS to tell the centers about his personal problems.
I haven't been quite as hyper-focused on it in the other games, but from when I started watching the Caps game (3rd period and OT), I can only definitively recall one toss-out and it was a very clear violation by the Caps player jumping the gun. For the most part, nothing seemed unusual. Feels like it could be a Gronk OPI situation but who knows with the NHL.I'm someone who admittedly has not watched most of the regular season, so what's the story with this? Pepper Andersen?Survive the first 5 minutes and pepper that sieve Andersen as much as possible
That's always been a penalty, they just decided to emphasize it more in the preseason.Draws are always a gong show. They have a new penalty (2 boots on same draw = delay of game) this year which became a point of emphasis in the preseason leading to a shit ton of meaningless minor penalties. Then of course the games started to count and it largely went away (I don’t recall a single one being called at all in the Bruins 82 regular season games) so guys probably started to cheat again.
I'd be shocked if it wasn't Lou/Shanny/Babcock making a point about the Bruins with the league office before the start of the series.I haven't been quite as hyper-focused on it in the other games, but from when I started watching the Caps game (3rd period and OT), I can only definitively recall one toss-out and it was a very clear violation by the Caps player jumping the gun. Anyone heard anything definitive yet? So far all I’ve seen is he’s a maybe.I hope Riley Nash is good to go.
you are a way better dad than me sir...7 yet? My 8yo insists I don't watch any of the games w/o him. So we'll get the first two periods tonight and then I go radio silence until we get up early and watch the rest on the DVR. Two for two so far...gotta keep it going, as painful as it is...
Not a high bar to crossyou are a way better dad than me sir...
Did I miss something with Gryz?
I dont know your co-workers, but I'm guessing that licking them is probably a bad move.I have reach Marchand troll levels at work today. Anyone slightly interested in the NHL that isn’t a Bruins fan has had enough of me, and we’re only two games in. Make it easier for me, boys.
HE COULD POTENTIALLY KILL HIS COWORKERS!!!!!1111!!!!!I dont know your co-workers, but I'm guessing that licking them is probably a bad move.
Depends on HR of course, and his profession.I dont know your co-workers, but I'm guessing that licking them is probably a bad move.
I read an old comment from Conroy. My bad.Not sure where you got that. Riley was a full participant. He’s “likely in” and Grz is “likely out” according to Bruce.
