He also may have been jabbed in the ribs or elsewhere with a CBJ stick trying to dig the puck out from him.On the McAvoy block, it looked like it may have deflected off his ankle and into his torso, possibly knocking the wind out of him. Glad to hear that he appears to be fine, but will feel better if he's actually able to put a skate on his foot on Monday.
Yeah. Yeah on both. How about we just agree he was awesome tonight and need him to be Monday, yeah?
It can't be anything else but the puck. It's not Rask's skate---when he later pulls the pad out of the net, you can see that the skate is hidden behind the pad. It's not his pad---the black pattern on it isn't big enough. There isn't anything else for it to be but the puck.also, to go back to the controversial first goal, I don't think we had a shot of it posted yet:
I'm not 100% convinced that that's the puck, but I'm like 95% there, which is good enough for me to be OK with the result being a just one, and maybe even grudgingly accepting of the overturn.
My first thought was he got it in the nuts. Certainly looked more like a wind thing than an ankle until I saw the video. On the McAvoy block, it looked like it may have deflected off his ankle and into his torso, possibly knocking the wind out of him. Because Chris Wagner sucks? As does Cehlarik, Kuhlman, and any of the other plugs that was going to be a plausible sub for a top 20-30 player in the league, even when injured.Yeah that was a good goal and the right calls
Oh and what the fuck are people getting mad at Myt1 for? He’s right.
Win game 6 you fucks
Loose hands. That was a beautiful play. The crazy thing about that goal is how Pasta kept the shot far glove side. Typically a RW taking a cross ice pass from a LW is going to naturally shoot back towards the left but Pasta somehow shot the puck in a straight line when he received basically just pushed it into the net.
Sure. Can we make sure to carry the “Pasta should’ve sat earlier in the series” debate into the game six game thread? TIA.
Backes in the past two games completely outplayed Pasta in game 3.Because Chris Wagner sucks? As does Cehlarik, Kuhlman, and any of the other plugs that was going to be a plausible sub for a top 20-30 player in the league, even when injured.
The fact that people who objected to your overreaction to a small sample happened to be unavailable to comment in the game thread Thursday night doesn’t make your analysis any more correct.Sure.
I hope he has a good enough game that the people who were very quiet in Games 3 and 4 feel brave and vindicated, nine days after the fact this time.
Carlo has been the Bruins best shut-down defenseman throughout the playoffs. He makes mental mistakes from time to time, but he’s 22 and this is his first postseason.Every time I watch the defensive play by by Carlo that led to Pasta's GWG, I get more impressed by it. He absolutely blew up that Panarin rush.... a completely underrated and impressive play.
I've stayed out of this discussion because I kind of fall in the middle, although I lean "can't sit your all star in the playoffs" while admitting he's looked brutal for the majority of the time. But I must object to the bolded. The fact that you think that Tuukka is a hill I want to die on illustrates how poorly you understand the very basic concepts of what I’m saying. The fact that you think Pasta is, when he’s one of my favorite professional athletes, is downright bizarre. Is this what people who can’t separate their feelings from their brains do? It must be exhausting.
Pasta’s upside when he can’t move is not significantly better than anyone in the roster. And his downside in that state is also a factor that matters, if you’re thinking about this at all more rigorously than starfucking. As evidenced by the two games in which his controller was disconnected. Your argument is nonsense. Seven days later, he could skate again.
I’m sorry that logic and reason hurt your feelings to the point that you’re willing to make such shitty arguments.
Tom Brady’s upside is off the charts. Maybe they should have played him with a torn ACL.
The fact that he couldn’t skate in either game does. The fact that people who objected to your overreaction to a small sample happened to be unavailable to comment in the game thread Thursday night doesn’t make your analysis any more correct.
His point totals include games where he could move. No one was saying that he should be benched for the series or the entire playoffs. He had three points in a game, 7 days after I said that he needed a game off.I've stayed out of this discussion because I kind of fall in the middle, although I lean "can't sit your all star in the playoffs" while admitting he's looked brutal for the majority of the time. Name another guy on the roster that can shoot the puck like him. Yes he's been largely immobile, and yes he's made some terrible decisions, but as evidenced by his points totals, he can still stick the puck in the net, and that's something they desperately need.
Good try, I’m staying out.His point totals include games where he could move. No one was saying that he should be benched for the series or the entire playoffs. He had three points in a game, 7 days after I said that he needed a game off.
