Watching the replay... that hand pass call is completely insane. I don't understand how this isn't just the league taking a goal from the Bruins.
They're not going to uphold it and put one of their precious Florida franchises down a goal and forced to kill a penalty

right here
By the way, how perfect was it that they had to switch refs to call off the goal because the first one couldn’t get his mic to work? Just a perfect metaphor for this garage league

When I was a kid I had a million other things going on that helped me move on from tough season ending losses. As an adult my favorite thing to do after work is have a couple of beers and watch the Bruins. It makes "moving on" from disappointing seasons incredibly hard.

Frederic yes, Grz no. Tkachuk and others would have a field day with him around the net.
Grz can actually get the puck out before Tkachuk can pressure him though, plus McAvoy plays so much better with Gryz vs. Orlov and Orlov is much better with anyone besides Mac.

Good news. Their season can’t end tonight

In the simulacrum
I am merely hoping that my rage level right now is peaking so that when this shitbox of a game ends I'll just be miserable instead of about to have an aneurysm.

I cannot fucking believe this.

I'll just be a nervous wreck over the weekend. I told my wife a loss in the second round to TB or Toronto, while disappointing, wouldn't be a failure. They're both good teams. Losing to Florida in the first round is a disaster. I'm a pessimist but if I had a positive side I'd like to think the Bruins come home and end it in 7...but that side of me died in 2019.

This series is why I can’t get too jacked up during the regular season. It just doesn’t matter much…playoffs in hockey are so different / random

I have to admit… now that I’m almost 50. I’m the exact opposite.

2003 Red Sox and 18-1 cured me.

I used to live and die with these teams. Now I can sleep at night after this shit instead of being depressed for 3 days

Plenty of time. They need to play more solid in their own end, especially their own corners and they will be able to bring it back the other way more quickly and find some gaps.

Well there’s still 5 months of baseball season left.

Generally speaking I can let almost any loss go

I’m way more invested this year because of my son.

Playoff hockey is hard. The Canes are being given all they can by the freaking Islanders. The Kraken have the Avs on the ropes. The Rangers are a game away from going home. Let’s buckle down, get one good period and a couple goals, and take care of business here. Then we can build from there. But all we need is 20 good minutes now. We don’t need a full good game. Just 20 minutes of dominance. Third period has been ours all year. Let’s do that shit again. 20 good minutes.

Same here losing sucks. I survived 2003. I was broken for a few weeks after that. Like seriously fucked up and depressed. Then 2004 happened and all the success of the New England teams since. I still get wound up but it’s not life and death. With that said the B’s need to come out here and fuck some shit up.

2003 almost killed me. I was there, and it was horrible. I went from never happier to feeling worse than I’ve ever felt in my life. I think that legit took me 2 months to get over.

For me, this one is important because Bergy. I really want him to get another tour with the Cup.
