The pitch to Judge was just so brutal both the kind of pitch and the location.
Judge has been geared for the fastball all series. They’ve constantly fooled him with off speed stuff. Then to throw it center cut like you’re gonna throw it by him. Come on.

The Guardians had an incredible two innings, squandered both and now the Yankees woke up.

Guardians just fell asleep. Judge couldn't hit a volleyball and then gets served a meatball and it kills everything and the Guardians go 0-11. Severino was on the ropes, Guardians were like, "Eh, we'll stop having good ABs and just weakly pop out."
Cleveland doesn’t hit a lot of homeruns, which makes it difficult to blow a game open (like in the 1st or 2nd inning) or come back from deficits with one swing.
Are they calling this game from the stands? Hearing casual conversations come through better than Costas.
It always feels like Judge is up in the 9th.

They don't have dick. The lineup is akin to the Mariners. Strike outs, weak grounders, or pop outs.
They had a chance in the first two innings and blew it. The game was over when Judge hit the homer. Not literally over, but figuratively over.
For sure. Zero excitement from that team. I guess it's not surprising to expect the Yankees/Astros to go against each other. And without Chapman, maybe the Yankees have a chance.
