Ah yes, Javier was the one they let off the hook. Usually that doesn't happen twice... if Sale is competent enough tonight, that is.

Wonder if Murphy is sent down again for an arm like Barraclough or Robertson.

I’m a big Javier fan and surprised his ERA is that high.

Make it higher, Red Sox

Every Astro looks like a prolapsed hemorrhoid. Perhaps in April that's a reason to pity them. But it's late August and we're on the post-season outside looking in. So fuck those prolapsed looking hemorrhoid fuckers and the horses they ride in on.

And, how about the fucking yellows please? No more fucking around Sox uniform guy. It's now or never.

Masa in the clean up spot seems sub optimal.
My guess is they're hoping that he'll get better pitches to hit with guys on base in front of him *and* a hot Duvall behind him. Deep down, though, I think he (and Paxton) have hit the wall. Different walls for each.

Bringing the kids up from AAA a few days early.

What are the chances Chris Sale can get to 5 innings or 75 pitches?

Game 132
This Houston series could be a great or a sad one.
We win - we subtract a game – lose, and we add one.
(A make-or-break series if we’ve ever had one.)
Let’s hope Sale’s start’s not a “makes-us-all-mad” one,
that tonight’s offense is a good, not a bad one,
that Rafaela hits and makes this a rad one.
Don’t let this first game be a kick-in-the-nad one.
There’s no time to make jokes. (Not even a dad one.)
Show our foes true defeat. (Like the Stalingrad one.)

Every time I see Rafaela's name, I think of the greatest of all of the Schoolhouse Rocks. And even though Rafaella Gabriela Sarsaparilla spells her name differently from Ceddanne, and even thought it is her first name not surname, I can't stop thinking about her when I think of him. (Thank you pronouns!)

I have three thoughts to add: (1) I'm going over to the things I learned when I was today years old thread to note that even though Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla has always been my favorite Schoolhouse Rock, until today I did not notice that Sarsaparilla has a very fucked up spelling. (2) I think it's cute that Rafaella finds an Aardvark, which has an usual double letter pair, much like Ceddanne. (3) Rufus seems like a nice man, and would make my list of celebrities that I would like to have dinner with.
