Chelsea signs 19-year old French central defender Kurt Zouma (who, according to Football Manager 2014 is pretty good) and leaves him on loan at St. Etienne for the remainder of the season.

The sad thing is I wouldn't at all be shocked if at least 10 of those excuses were actually trotted out by the club.
