Turner has been a joy to watch all year as well. And I'll keep that Devers guy around.
Oh there is so much more to like. I think Wong is going to be very good for this team, Turner is a professional, Devers is a stud and they actually have some decent arms. This team doesnt seem as far away as some of the Never-Bloom/Corar-ers would have you believe. Nobody can win a World Series in July.

I honestly can't figfure out why Scherzer just didn't pitch around Casas. Chances of getting out of the inning unscathed with Keekay/Alfaro coming up were pretty damn good

Not that's I'm complaining, but ... geesh

Why in the hell is Pivetta in this game? Cora think the Mets are forfeiting tomorrow?

So what’s this about? Pitch him an inning here and then next Tuesday? Or go back to back with a shorter outing tomorrow?

Cora: too damn smart for his own good

Shorter outing tomorrow, day off Monday

Edit—I’m not in favor of his pitching tonight, but that’s my guess for the plan now

Second edit—of course, if he also pitches the 9th, nevermind

They need the win, Pivetta can be trusted to close it out, and all the high lev relievers are available tomorrow. Pivetta can also be the bulk guy on Tuesday with Bello out.

Because his manhood was challenged and he, in his own mind, had to prove that he is more macho than Casas.

He tried to pitch around him, challenged him once and then challenged him again.

And lost.

Darling and Hernandez doing some weak New England accents on the Mets broadcast for laughs.
Hernandez whatever, but I expect better from Darling. At least a better cartoon accent.
