Bartolo Colon hit a double and scored on a double and it was a joy to watch him run the bases

Crazy. That's a pretty fair offer from the Cubs.

Jayson Werth:

I remember Marty Barrett doing this back in the 80s for the Sox.

Also, this is awesome: http://deadspin.com/brewers-catcher-jonathan-lucroys-anti-cardinals-all-sta-1592323001

An anti-Cardinal ad? Sign me up.

"Do we really want another Cardinal to start the All Star game?"

"Cardinals fans need to know that enough is enough."

"I'm Jonathan Lucroy and I approved this message."

Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy's making a push to get voted into this season's All-Star Game, and his anti-Yadier Molina, anti-Cardinals message features the kind of mudslinging one could only find in a local political ad.

Nice.
I've drilled a line drive right back into a JUGs pitching machine before, which proceeded to fire it straight back at me over the plate for a strike before I even knew what happened.
I've put a few right back through the pitching hole in the machine. Never had it fire it back at him. I obviously have never hit off the Roger Clemens model.

Watching the Braves-Nats game and Rendon ties it up with a homer off Kimbrel in 9th.  Ball goes 10 feet over fence, totally and completely obvious home run.  They blow the call and need replay to save them.

MLB umpiring is a complete embarrassment...

is anyone else watching the Nats and Brewers on ESPN?

Is ESPN freaking kidding me with the endless TIm K sausage race? They hyped it up in inning 1 all the way through the race now into the 7th. Im somehow still watching.

ESPN is a joke.

He's pretty good. He might be a nightmare for the Sox over the next few years. 8 IP 1 ER, 7:1 K/BB. He's been very, very good as a SP.

Reds have a new manager this year, Bryan Price, but he appears to overuse pitchers like his predecessor, Dusty Baker. He brought Aroldis Chapman into his 4th game in a row, also 4th night in a row last night. Predictably, he didn't have it (wild) and blew the save. Giants had it much worse with a blown save in the 9th and the loss in 11. I actually think Dusty Baker, overall, was a pretty good manager, maybe in everything but in game and pitcher usage (if that makes any sense).

Dodgers pitchers have gone 34 games without issuing more than 2 walks. Last pitcher to do so was Josh Beckett during his no-hitter.
