Yep. Got punched in the mouth and never recovered.Up 7 to 3 in the 8th and just rolling and losing the way they did was definitely a dagger.

At least it was like 2 games. 18 innings. Shrug.Poor amariners fans
spend a boatload for a playoff game first time in 20 years and you get6 hours and no runs

That Alvarez homer is still in the air. A dagger and an atom bomb.Yep. Got punched in the mouth and never recovered.
Who takes him, or are you saying he's permanently in AAA next year?Hell of a last game in Seattle, Kelenic
Reminds me of the Pujols homer that broke Brad Lidge. That Alvarez homer is still in the air. A dagger and an atom bomb.
Yeah but the Astros won that series and Lidge closed out the World Series three years later.Reminds me of the Pujols homer that broke Brad Lidge.
Came back from his 2nd injury, sucked, got sent down, refused to report for a bit, finally reported, sucked.I’d trade Duran for Kelenic, easy
what’s the deal with Kyle Lewis, anyway?
Completely dead except the part where they led 2-0 through 5 on the road in game 2 and gave up 5 runs in 27 innings? It doesn't "help them" but they've been completely dead since that happened. They were fired up and exciting through the wild card and through game 1 until that happened. They've looked like a different team since then.
Not everything is on the stat sheet.
If Dave Roberts can survive in Los Angeles with a $228m payroll, I think Servais can survive with the 5th youngest team in MLB.Does Servais getting them there outweigh his costing them the series?
Sounds like a dead team to me.Completely dead except the part where they led 2-0 through 5 on the road in game 2 and gave up 5 runs in 27 innings?
I think he did in game 1 exactly what the front office wanted him to do. It was a bad move, and I disagree with the front office, but it sounds like it was planned out in advance.Does Servais getting them there outweigh his costing them the series?
Yep. He looked like a rookie this series, and especially today. I think he was pressing a bit because of how bad the rest of the team was struggling, and he tried to put them on his back. He missed it by about a foot and a half,Julio Rodriguez must have seen a hundred sliders in this game. Keeping him in check with just the one hit was one of the reasons M’s had trouble scoring.
Fire in the cascadesWhy did it seem so foggy out there tonight?
DudeI might have to cheer for the MFY’s before I can cheer for the Astors.
He's got his warts, but man he is going to be legendary in that city. He's only 25, too. Plenty of reason to believe the best is still coming.Ow! He caught 18 innings with this today! Ow ow ow!!!

So he had those injuries presumably coming into today, right? That is some NHL shit, damn. He's got his warts, but man he is going to be legendary in that city. He's only 25, too. Plenty of reason to believe the best is still coming.
