Mike believes the Pats did tape the Rams Super Bowl practice. Says 'I've heard guys (former players) talk about it.' Says the media didn't make that up. Also says it's hard for Warner and Faulk to be on NFLN knowing it happened but can't comment on it.
Now he's insisting the media has buried the Aaron Hernandez story because they're worried about offending the NFL. The Hernandez case was in all the network newscasts' first blocks Thursday and Friday. He's just being willfully assy today. Click.

Let me see: not a single player for the Rams, Steelers, Panthers, or Eagles ever claimed the Pats cheated, until.... the Pats got caught with a camera on the sideline in the Meadowlands, and the media misreported the whole Spygate story.
Then, not a single word from anyone about the Pats taping practices, until.... Tomase prints a story that even he had to refute once he learned his source outright lied to him. Never mind that not a single member of the ESPN, CNNSI, NFLN, or other network mediots could ever substantiate the rumors, despite the fact that if they were able to find any hint of evidence from their myriad of sources, they would have a blockbuster to print.
I would love to see a caller bring up these points to guys like Felger, Mazz, Francesca, et al, but it's almost child's play.

There was some mediot commenting the other day about how the taping helped Bruschi with key defensive calls. Of course, the Pats were taping defensive signals, but why let facts get in the way.
Well, what really hurts the Pats' case is that the offense was pretty much unstoppable against the Rams that day.

If any Pats fan gets through tomorrow, the first thing they should say is "I don't know how anyone can think that the Pats are a great team when they haven't won a Super Bowl in over TEN HOURS." And then do a long, loud "Robert DeNiro sitting in the theater smoking a cigar in Cape Fear" braying laugh.
