Toronto spent the last two days bitching about the refs from game one... Now everything is going their way.

Yep. Lost some respect for them (not that I had a lot to begin with) the few days.

DeRozan with b2b big shots. Maybe gave himself a pep talk on the bench.

Btw, Kirilenko continues to be one of my ATF players to watch.

You would get alcohol poison with the word Compton if you played a drinking game while watching the raptors feed.

Clearly, the Nets will win this series but you'd really like to do it in 4 games in order to rest for Miami.

Nets have shot like dogshit both of these games and will have one win and a tight loss.

I like their chances to snap out of it and go on a tear at home.

Raptors get the job done. Have to wonder if they'll feel satisfied or come out with more energy in Brooklyn. Pressure will be on the Nets in game 3.

A Lost Time
The wizzards are on their way winning their second game in chicago. I guess i should eat crow, as i didnt expect it. I think that what explains it is that they dont have to give as many minutes to their woeful bench. Beal played great today too and if i may be frank, i think the refs hosed the bulls a bit.

Uh oh. The bulls are closing in.

Very competitve game in Chicago, both teams are hustling their asses off for this one. Washington is a surprisngly well put together team. Dynamic pg, good shooting, competent post players, veterans at important positions.

FT attempts are basically even for the series. Donahue's claims would have more credibility if the Nets enjoy a huge FT advantage at home. And I don't think a Brooklyn/Miami series would have that great ratings. Nobody in NYC even cares about Brooklyn.

Yeah, to be clear, I don't buy any of this garbage. Just thought it was interesting that the perception in this thread is that the Raptors had the advantage, where as the spokesperson for NBA officiating conspiracies is stating the opposite. It's almost like, I dunno, there's some sort of confirmation bias at play here.

I never said Toronto has had an advantage. I said they complain a lot, especially their coach.

Derozan spent game 1 trying to rise up and shoot over people. In game 2 the Raps got him moving ran more and he went to the hoop more. That had as much to do with foul shots as anything

I don't know why the Daily News waited a day on that, but Donaghy made all those comments before Game 2 and was only talking about Game 1.

He's full of shit regardless.

I don't think there's a referee conspiracy at play in this series.  I think the referees are just poor at their jobs a lot of the time.  Game 1 the bad calls benefitted Brooklyn by and large.  Game 2 it went the other way.  Just your garden variety sucking that apparently will never change... so why get upset about it?

Carlisle is such a great coach and Dallas continues to be innovative defensively and ahead of the NBA curve.

Aldridge with 39 points on 16/22 shooting after 3. He is playing the best basketball of his career. Downright dominant.

Portland and Washington are the new blood the league needs.

Random stat: since 1980 6 franchises have won 30 of the 34 NBA titles.

And only 8 since 1980 (LA,BOS,MIA,Rockets,Mavs, Pistons, Chi, Spurs).

you dont even need to go back until 2000 for 8 different teams to have won NFL/MLB titles

I might have to get league pass next year just so I can watch every Houston game and root against them. I really (sports) hate Harden.

Yet another reason why award balloting needs to happen after the post-season: Harden is likely going to make first-team all NBA while Aldridge is likely going to be left off all three teams.

I cant remember watching a big man shoot like LMA. I noticed it in the first game against the Celtics this year. I would love to know how much that guy practiced those mid range shots. He and Lillard are a great combo, I'm very envious of Portland fans.
