On paper, that is about as evenly matched a half as you can get.  They are basically dead even in every category except 2, rebounding which Wisconsin is leading and Field Goal percentage which Kentucky is leading.  The second chance points off the offensive rebounds is offsetting the field goal percentage being shot by Kentucky.  It's literally dead even almost across the board from assists to steals to blocks to fouls to turnovers besides that.

After almost every offensive set, Calipari turns around and yells towards his bench.  Who is he yelling at?  Is he turning around and telling the guys on the bench what they should have done or something?  Shouldn't he be directing that to the guys on the floor?

Whatever offensive deficiency WCS has, Lyles makes up for them.  That kid has been a revelation the last month.

In an unrelated note, how much dirtier is UK's recruiting process than all the other teams in NCAA men's basketball?

Gary Williams used to do this at Maryland.  He'd yell at the practice team players telling them they should've played better in practice to get the starters ready.

Kentucky seems to have another gear defensively, when they want to shift to it, sort of like Duke. If I had to guess which team will be able to throw more stops at the other in the next eleven minutes plus, I'm going with Kentucky, but Wisconsin has a chance if they can add a few feet on their three pointers and get lucky with them.

Calipari now has the perfect opportunity to do it at a place the ncaa will be loathe to punish

Is Rafferty openly rooting for UK here?  I like him (especially after his segment with Katie Nolan) but him openly complaining about the Wildcats leaving Frank The Tank open makes me wonder...

I don't know, I just thought that was a solid observation.  You can't leave him open there.

Wisconsin offense looked completely lost without Kaminsky

Also, very odd use of a TO right before the under-8 break there...guess I get it given above, but still could hurt later

He's making the same kind of observations the other way when Wisconsin leaves a Harrison open or lets them drive the lane.  I read it more as him respecting the offensive player than rooting for the defense.

He just said that was a clear offensive foul after Harrison was falling back before contact.

Kentucky guys really asserted themselves in those four minutes between tv timeouts. The charge was a big call, but still every Wisconsin possession is a chore and Kentucky just drives right in the paint, like Arizona was able to do all game against them.

This is when Kentucky's depth makes it really hard on other teams.  Opponents get tired, while Kentucky just keeps rotating in first round picks.

Wow.  I hate the whole flagrant 1 call most of the time, but I thought you had to call one there, even if it was inadvertent.
