I don’t think Bill would wanna run a team under a guy like Tepper (one of the primary reasons he got the hell out of dodge in NY back in 2000 was that ownership transferred from Leon Hess to Woody Johnson), but I also have no idea what other options Bill will have. I agree the Panthers cannot be crossed out yet given the uncertainty of what Bill will want v what options he will have, even though I think Washington makes more sense on paper at the moment.
Sports Illustrated did a deep dive on Belichick in 2004, and the ownership situation was one of several factors:

No one except those closest to him realizes it, but it was because of his experience with Modell that Belichick walked away from the Jets' job. Belichick knew he might get only one more chance to be an NFL head coach, and he didn't want that to be under the thumb of an owner he didn't know (the Jets were up for sale), with a club president he viewed as a know-nothing (Steve Gutman) and, to a much lesser degree, a director of football operations he felt he had outgrown (Parcells). If he was going to be a head coach again, he would do it on his terms.
I agree that Belichick isn’t going to tolerate an owner like Tepper at this point in his career/life.

After being fired in back to back seasons, it’s hard to imagine any franchise looking for a third Reich.

Man, if that is true, it's exceptional.
Rumors on this were everywhere, then in mid to late October Reich came out saying they got the guy they all wanted. It read as a coach trying to support his QB more than the truth.

Alas we’ll probably never know as Reich seems to be a stand up players coach and likely won’t throw anyone under the bus.

Tepper seems to have some really bad instincts on how to build success.

He thinks because he's succeeded in business that success will translate to being a NFL owner. Daniel Synder felt the same way. So far, Tepper is on the Synder path, although he doesn't seem like he's a piece of shit like Synder was. Just an overt micromanager in a business where the owner shouldn't micromanage.

Apparently Tepper has a huge set of nuts on his desk in his office. He has them to intimidate people who enter his office. To me, that is truly a pathetic thing to do. Maybe not Synder, but not great either.

As soon as I heard this when Rhule was still the coach; I was down on Tepper

In addition to an increase in profile, the trade netted him a personal payday of nearly $4 billion, more money than Tepper, who grew up in Pittsburgh and had never even been on a plane until he was 21, literally knows what to do with. “What do you think I should do with it?” he asked me. “I could buy an island. I could buy a private jet—but I have NetJets. I could get myself a 22-year-old!

“Sometimes,” he whispers, leaning across the table, “if someone is an asshole, like a waiter at a restaurant, I think, I could just buy this place and fire that guy.”

This guy turns my stomach. What a douchenozzle.

My FIL knows him casually. He is a giant asshole (tepper not FIL). he grew up with somewhat modest means, wasn't exactly popular as a kid. got passed over for partner at goldman twice I think, and made it his life's work to get enough FU money to live a life of financial revenge porn against anyone he feels wronged him. he is a caricature of a Michael Lewis wall street trader, and can eat a giant bag of salty dicks.

Belichick openly supported Trump, who can also be...uncouth. Who knows what's in the guy's head. All we really know is that he's a football genius. The rest is speculation.
Belichick also told Trump to go shit in his hat when Trump tried to give him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in the final days of the administration. Belichick isn't going to be some douchebag's pawn.

He definitely does seem like the kind of guy who has to pay people millions to hang out with him
Yeah, I don’t like this guy and I try to see the best in people. It’s getting to the point where I’m asking myself is Jerruh the coolest owner? Kraft and Lurie seem like normal rich guys. Idk, I haven’t made a study of it. This Tepper guy is a piece of work.

Jerry Jones being the coolest anything is a terrifying proposition. Here's a list of current owners: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_franchise_owners

They're all psycho rich weirdos. Besides Kraft (what's cooler than getting handies?!), I think Shahid Khan may be the coolest, if only because gave his son Tony a blank check to start a wrestling company, and he's successfully turned the wrestling world on its head. Sure, WWE is far more valuable than AEW, but without AEW pushing the industry along, we'd still have terrible storytelling/employee groping from Vince McMahon, and not a structurally sound hero/heroine factory.

Sounds like Daniel Snyder.
One of my former employees is a huge Panthers fan - at one point he was front and center on the hero image on their website so we called him the Face of the Franchise - and he and his friends are just done with Tepper, full stop. Like, it's amazing how quickly he lost friends and alienated people after buying a franchise from a guy who was such an asshole that it should have been easy to come off as a nice guy by comparison.

He has a pair of huge balls on his desk and they are extra veiny.

Nothing more needs to be said.

The Vikings have activated Jefferson and waived our old friend N’Keal Harry.

Jefferson taking over 2 months off for this injury is crazy. I'm sure teams will be lining up to sign him because he's incredible when he plays, but this year should raise some eyebrows.

Aren’t hammy injuries normally 4-6 weeks? 7-8 weeks doesn’t seem too ridiculous if it was on the more severe side. Hard to know obviously.

I don't agree. I think the Vikings were taking the very slow approach to his injury primarily given the timing of their bye week. The nature of the injury, the play of Addison, and quality of opponent should also be in consideration. With the playoffs looming and the Vikings having a shot at a Wildcard, it's worth it to hold him out to be absolutely sure he is healthy.

I don’t know what Jefferson’s motivation is but absolutely hamstring injuries can linger and if not cared for properly they can hound you your whole career.
