Down goes FrazierAnybody want to hire Leslie Frazier?
There’s one positive to KC winning. There are going to be a lot of Zubaz clad fat guys lighting themselves on fire and diving through folding tables tonight. What a sledgehammer to the nuts.
If they didn’t after the Pats did it, why now?Given how reactionary the NFL usually is, in regards to rule changes. I would not be shocked if this game is what causes the NFL to fix the OT Rules.
That and the defensive calls. Not kicking off in bounds was beyond stupid and really cost the Bills this game.
To what? One possession each and the next score wins after that? Because that seems reasonable.Given how reactionary the NFL usually is, in regards to rule changes. I would not be shocked if this game is what causes the NFL to fix the OT Rules.
KC still scores. Defense was smoked, they just throw deeper.Buffalo takes 2-3 seconds off the clock with a squib kick and this never happens.
Feels like they just did. Win this game and there was no stopping them.Bills fans should take solace that they won’t lose a 5th SuperBowl
If they were gonna change it, they would’ve after the Pats beat the Chiefs. They’re popping bottles on Park Ave right now.Given how reactionary the NFL usually is, in regards to rule changes. I would not be shocked if this game is what causes the NFL to fix the OT Rules.
I vote this game.Is losing the Super Bowl after leading 28-3 late in the third worse or losing this game for the Bills?
Thing is, in todays NFL no defense can reliably stop a great offense. Any given day you might but it’s simply an offense league nowYou know, we talk about the Patriots' highly ranked defense imploding. But let's talk about the Bills' #1 ranked defense absolutely disintegrating before our eyes.
552 yards allowed
42 points allowed
Allowed KC to score 10 points in 1:05 at the end of the 4th quarter, allowing 119 yards in 8 plays.
I know KC's offense is dynamic, but that kind of thing can't happen to the #1 defense.
Maybe. But we don't have Mahomes or Hill or Kelce.Maybe we should have spread out the field on them and had Mac throw more last week.
Yeah, Bill the GM has cursed Bill the HC with a (very slow), aging roster. If this is how the Bills and Chiefs are going to look for the next few years, the Pats may as well take their time with the rebuild and hope Kelce and Hill have aged out of their positions and the Bills hit salary cap hell by around, say, the 2025 season. It’s like they are playing a different sport. On the other hand, Bill is like 100 times better in my mind after watching the coaching today.
You'd have to make sure that they don't get far enough downfield to draw a significant PI penalty, but this totally seems like the way to go. Hold for 8 seconds, give up the penalty and give them one untimed down. How do you not tackle Hill and Kelce on the LOS with 8 seconds left. Take the holding penalty.
The time would have been after Super Bowl LI.If they didn’t after the Pats did it, why now?
well, at least they’ll wake up in a freezing post-industrial wasteland.I vote this game.
What a terrible nights sleep Bills fans in Buffalo will have tonight.
And this loss has nothing to do with it.
No way that will happen. This game was an all time classic.Given how reactionary the NFL usually is, in regards to rule changes. I would not be shocked if this game is what causes the NFL to fix the OT Rules.
Maybe a 10-minute quarter, and if it's tied then, next score wins. If you can control the ball for 10 minutes, you deserve to win.To what? One possession each and the next score wins after that? Because that seems reasonable.
No empathy for your fantasy football QB? Who are you? Antonio Brown?
Hopefully that call haunts the Bills coach forever -- he's an arrogant prick. You have to practice a squib or pooch kickoff for a spot like that. If the Chiefs have 8 seconds instead of 13, it's basically a heave and hope.
Bills fans haven't recovered from wide right yet.well, at least they’ll wake up in a freezing post-industrial wasteland.
It could be called intentional holding. 15 yards and no time goes off the clock. You'd have to make sure that they don't get far enough downfield to draw a significant PI penalty, but this totally seems like the way to go. Hold for 8 seconds, give up the penalty and give them one untimed down.
Me neither but have to savor the consolation prize because as far as consolation prizes go it's a good one.Gross. I fucking HATE K.C. Not even against Buffalo would I root for them.
I really don't see the problem. Defense is part of the game too. The old rule was bad because it was too easy to pick up 30 yards on a fluke play or a penalty and kick a field goal, especially as kickers got better and their range expanded. But if you can't stop the other team going the length of the field with your season on the line, you don't deserve to win.New overtime rule. No matter what happens on the first drive,(TD or FG) the other team has the chance to tie the game.
Then it might behoove a team to actually not accept the ball.
Or...a team could get a stop.New overtime rule. No matter what happens on the first drive,(TD or FG) the other team has the chance to tie the game.
Then it might behoove a team to actually not accept the ball.
so you’re saying lots of snow accumulation? The weather tomorrow in Buffalo will be overcast with light snow and a high of 25 F. And everyone will be crying.
The Bills lost when the kicked off into the end zone - nothing to do with OT rulesThe biggest nut punch is that this game essentially came down to a lost coin flip.
This is a good solution.Maybe a 10-minute quarter, and if it's tied then, next score wins. If you can control the ball for 10 minutes, you deserve to win.
One incomplete and it's hail mary timeKC still scores. Defense was smoked, they just throw deeper.
“Wide right” and “13 seconds” forever in history
Bills fans are all saying “13 seconds”. I think that phrase ends up living in infamy in Buffalo along with Wide Right. This game needs a name.
It’s a devastating loss, devastating. This is the type of loss that might make it tough for Buffalo to do well next season. Take the wind out of their sails.
