So, the Pats loss to this pathetic Eagle team at home ranks where on the list of terrible/improbable Pats losses since BB arrived?
A bunch of fluke plays can transform any game. So, the Pats loss to this pathetic Eagle team at home ranks where on the list of terrible/improbable Pats losses since BB arrived?
Unlikely they would be, but if they keep up this streak the next 3 weeks, the money could go there.I get what you're saying but would Seattle really be favored there? I'd guess 4 or 5 point underdog.
Um, yeah. That's why I said improbable. Do you watch teams other than the Pats? Losing games to inferior teams because of improbable plays happens all the time. Except it almost never happens to the Pats. Which was the point of my question.A bunch of fluke plays can transform any game.
I don't think so. Landed oob. That's a catch. Not much you can do about that.
Usually the hate comes from the Pats winning. I understand completely when fans of other teams hate the Patriots because of their elitist fans. So, the Pats loss to this pathetic Eagle team at home ranks where on the list of terrible/improbable Pats losses since BB arrived?
Didn't they sign a decent back-up in the offseason? He is 35 and has had 2 major knee injuries.Yeah, if that Carson Palmer injured finger is anything serious, they're totally fucked.
The NFL: causing domestic unrest since 1920."Jenny, stay strong, and warm. Love, Dad. p.s. And an ugly Dolphins sweater is my way of expressing my displeasure for you getting knocked up by a Pats fan."
He has a decent backup. He got hurt too last year.Didn't they sign a decent back-up in the offseason? He is 35 and has had 2 major knee injuries.
Nope. It would still be the Drew Stanton experience.Didn't they sign a decent back-up in the offseason? He is 35 and has had 2 major knee injuries.
Um, ok. It was a pretty bad loss, at home, where they don't lose much, where a bunch of crazy shit happened, against a team that I don't think anyone would try to argue is better than the Pats this year. I'm pretty grounded in terms of what we've been lucky enough to witness as fans of this team, it was more of a curious question about how out of character that loss was.Usually the hate comes from the Pats winning. I understand completely when fans of other teams hate the Patriots because of their elitist fans.
What? You too?Eagles are fucking awful. I'll never understand how the Pats lost that game.
Ralph, see above. You're initial post made it sound like confusion over the Eagles instead of confusion over the Pats.Um, ok. Thanks! Now I get it! Yes, it was rhetorical. What? You too?
1) Significant injuries to key skill players
2) A minimum 10-point swing from a pick-6 in the end zone
3) Several brutal special teams plays
4) They tried to get cute with trick plays instead of just executing against an inferior team
Stanton was 6-3 for them last year. After watching some of the othe backups this year, I'm not sure who they could get on the FA market that is sufficiently better to go away from a guy who has been competent in the system.Nope. It would still be the Drew Stanton experience.
One of those six "wins" that you're giving him credit for was a game where he threw five passes. He went 5-3 as a starter. And whether or not they could have picked up someone better isn't really my point. Have you looked at Carson Palmer's statline this season? You should look at Carson Palmer's statline this season. He's been really fucking awesome. Drew Stanton is nowhere near as capable.Stanton was 6-3 for them last year. I guess I misread your post about the fact that the Cardinals had not signed a better backup than the "Drew Stanton experience" to be suggesting the Cardinals had not signed a better backup than the Drew Stanton experience. I've been pushing the view that the Cardinals are the team to beat in the NFC (not on this board but in, like, real life) because they have playmakers all over the place, can beat you in a bunch of different ways, and are pretty well coached. But that all goes out the window if Palmer isn't there. He's the straw that stirs the drink and should be right there with Cam Newton and Brady in the MVP discussion. He's been playing that well.
Torn ACLOof. Really hopes nothing serious there. Would be a terrible garbage time injury.
Arians is great, no doubt, but unless the Colts were going to fire Pagano right after his cancer treatments, holding on to Arians wasn't an option. If BB suddenly retired and the Pats could have any coach, I can't think of anyone I would take above Arians. The Colts made a huge mistake letting him leave their building.
