St. Louis to America: Don’t Be Jealous Mayor of St. Louis Responds to the Cardinals Being Called ‘Hateable’
Yeah, I was looking for that or Carrington event Solar Flare, maybe False Flag ISIS attack. The sensible fans who want them both to lose should have their perspective represented, too.Bosoxen said:Where's the "meteor" option for the first question?

The Orioles have the longest drought of the four remaining teams...or did I not understand that was your point?Remagellan said:I like Peavy and hate AJP but one of my best friends is a Cards fan so I'm rooting for the Redbirds.
(I might be secretly rooting for KC come the Series because it's been so long since they last won it. I always root for the team with the longest drought if the Sox are not involved. But I fear the Orioles are getting to the Series so it won't be an issue.)
I heart Magary, the cynical, bitter bastard. Go Giants. They are a flawed team but not as much as the tire fires known as the Nats or the Dodgers. Those bullpens were the definition of incendiary.Flunky said:

In any language, it's a way of life: DIE MFY SCUM DIE!
My thought exactly. David Price should take note. That trot made Papi look like he sprints around the bases.54thMA said:
I love how it took Brett an hour and a half to round the bases after hitting that bomb

Don't hate the playa, man, hate the game.
I wonder by how much the cards' odds of winning the World Series increase when the Red Sox are not in the playoffs.

I can't remember the SoSH'er that passed this on, but get the ZenMate extension in Chrome--you can choose to have your connection mock-originate from the UK, which gets you an MLB.tv feed (you may have to pay like $3.99 or something for the playoffs--I thought I read that--but I've been going this route and haven't paid for anything yet).
Flunky said:You might want the team constructed and run the same way. I think it's mostly this "greatest fans in baseball" thing. Ask Kolten Wong about that one. This thin veneer of "humble" Midwesterners and their quaint appreciation of America's past time. :barf:

The Cardinals have added A.J. Pierzynski to their NLCS roster.

During Game 1 of the NLCS, Fox Sports 1 will air a special analytics-driven second screen experience. Titled “NLCS on Fox Sports 1 Powered by JABO“, the game will be looked at from a different angle on this telecast over on Fox Sports 1. Fox Sports 1 MLB studio host Kevin Burkhardt will host the show, and will be joined by Fox Sports 1 MLB analysts Gabe Kapler and C.J. Nitkowski, Fox Sports senior baseball editor (and the man behind Just A Bit Outside, Fox’s baseball portal) Rob Neyer, and Padres manager Bud Black.
In a blog post last week, Neyer explained what the broadcast would entail. Essentially, it will be a double box format featuring the game in one box and the studio in the other. There will also be a plethora of graphics (which we’ve explored in detail before) used to further points and inform viewers, something I think will actually work out pretty well in this format. The studio panel willbreak down every facet of the game in excruciating detail, something that the commentary trio of Joe Buck, Harold Reynolds, and Tom Verducci simply cannot do because of their responsibility of calling the game.
Grichuk is no Pence. Would that be Nuppence?Sprowl said:Panda Bear gets lucky -- that ball should have been caught.
I like everything about it except for the double box. I don't need to see them watching the game on half the screen.jimbobim said:I'm liking the Fox Sports 1 broadcast so far especially Kap and Neyer. I appreciate they've recognized that the usual telecast model might need to be changed.
