Sun - IND-ATL, root for ATL win - ATLANTA LEADING AT THE HALF
Sun - WAS-NYJ, root for WAS win WAS LOSING AT THE HALF
Sun - CLE-HOU, root for HOU win HOU LOSING AT THE HALF
Sun - JAX-TB, root for TB win
Sun - DAL-MIA, root for DAL win

Panthers are so useless.
It’s been pointed out but it’s kind of a miracle they even have 2 wins considering they haven’t run a single play with a 4th quarter lead.

… And why should we not expect them to lose out?
Why would we? They’re not hugely worse than Denver, have already beaten the Jekyll And Hyde Bills and are probably a small favorite over the Jets (at home, possibly BB’s last game, etc)

even if you give them a 35% chance of beating Denver, 15% to beat Buffalo and 50% to beat the Jets, that makes it likely they’ll win one

everyone thought they’d get stomped by Pittsburgh’s D and they didn’t. They had a halftime lead against KC and played pretty tough against a more talented team. If first half Zappe shows up or if the D plays well, it’s a good bet they can squeeze out a win against Denver or (more likely) the Jets.

3-12 ARI SOS .5640 (141-109 - SFx2 (22-6), LARx2 (16-14), SEAx2 (16-14), BAL (11-3), CLE (10-5), CIN (8-7), PIT (8-7), TEX (8-7), PHI (10-4), DAL (10-5), WAS (4-11), NYG (5-9), ATL (7-8), CHI (6-9)
4-11 WAS SOS .5202 (129-119 - DALx2 (20-10), PHIx2 (20-8), NYGx2 (10-18), MIA (11-4), BUF (9-6), NYJ (6-9), NE (3-11), DEN (7-7), ARI (3-12), SF (11-3) LAR (8-7), SEA (8-7), CHI (6-9), ATL (7-8)

Sunday's game (NE-DEN) & Monday's games (LV-KC & PHI-NYG & BAL-SF) remain in week 16

With a win tonight, NE will fall to the #4 draft slot and, with WAS facing SF and DAL in weeks 17 & 18, will almost certainly slot below WAS in the draft.

Having a disastrous year and not ending up with the chance to take one of the premium QB prospects would be awful. Although an off-season of listening to Pats fans convince themselves that Olu Fashanu and Gardner Minshew is a good step in the right direction because (insert QB bust from years gone by) or (insert reference to mediocre team in soft division that was a game or two above .500 with a marginal starting QB) would make for some spirited conversations.

Farewell, Drake. We hardly knew ye.

Also, man I hope BB is willing to give up some offensive player evaluation/GM duties. The defense has performed as admirably as you could expect this season. If he leaves and the defense starts sucking I hope all the BB haters remember that.

This game is the equivalent of getting a lump of coal in your stocking. You did get something, just not what you were hoping for.

Well, whoever made the suggestion that Denver could be a win for the Patriot - a suggestion I pooh-pooh'd - you have my humblest apologies, regardless of how this one turns out. I was wrong, you were right.

I think WAS and NE will be tied on SOS after tonight? Top 3-4 still in play, but no margin for error. Just need the Jets to win the Bill Bowl in two weeks.

So barring something very unexpected, Patriots should be 3rd/4th after tonight.

I think it will be 4th, the MIA win over DAL was huge in a bad way

Edit-not so fast.... DEN within a score

How good are the CBs at the top of this draft? Feels like we should start paying attention there.

Well, shit.

I need a reset on where we're at with the tiebreakers in the 4-11 club.
All those good Pats teams that we wanted to win in Denver couldn't but this effing Pats team that we wanted to lose in Denver wins. What's wrong with that picture. We used to laugh at the Jets because they blew a shot at Lawrence. Now three years later, with better QBs available, we do the same thing. Losers...but winners tonite...fudge..

Why aren't the opponents' total games played all equal? Seems odd that Carolina opponents have played 255 games, but Arizona opponents have played 250 games.

edit: disregard, there are games tomorrow. For some reason I was thinking that wouldn't matter unless those 4 teams above were playing tomorrow. I should go to bed.

The Jets and Patriots making 50+ yarders to win and screw draft position was a parlay not many would have bet

So it looks like they are going to pick 6th?

Seasons over and now they manage to win games. Good stuff

EDIT: sorry, should have been more clear. I am about 100% confident the Patriots will beat the Jets in a meaningless game that will only hurt their pick

I would gladly take one of those left tackles at 6. They really need that.

Is this a joke?
You've said multiple times this season that the Patriots have a bottom 5 roster. You feel like the entire roster needs an overhaul starting with BB, the coaching staff, and all the way through Offense, Defense, Special Teams. Defense is included in this overhaul. CB are on the defensive side of the ball and that, by virtue of an overhaul, this team needs CB. To you, this question shouldn't be a joke.

Yet your question.

So you are trolling.

I'm sad. Someone please talk me out of being sad.
They're still in position to get a franchise player. There are 2-3 QBs, a WR and 2 LT. They're currently 3rd, have the means to move up, and 1 of the 2 teams above them is unlikely to want to take a QB for themselves.

They have a number 1 corner on IR. It’s not a position of need to take in the first round when QB, WR and OT are greater needs.

Nobody in this draft is a better prospect than Lawrence was, best since Lawrence... sure.

No shit. But that doesn't mean the entire defense needs an overhaul. In fact, the defense has played pretty damn well this year despite having a shit offense.

Hell, you've suggested trading Judon for a 5th or 6th which would be really, really bad roster management.

We are all well aware of what we need and a complete roster overhaul isn't one of those needs.

I meant overall in the draft. Take a look at the QBs drafted after Lawrence in his year. I contend that the overall depth of QBs in this year's class will prove to be better than in Lawrence 's year. I mean Trey Lance and Zac Wilson are busts already.
