*Here is a ticket to NE. It's round trip; I have almost as much chance making that roster as you. But that's not the goal. The goal is to demonstrate that you are serious about your career for once, that something is left in the tank, and to get a recommendation from BB to make some other team's roster.
If you screw up, if you are late to a meeting by one minute, or doze off during a meeting for one second, he will cut your ass and then you will be done for goo.*
You'll have to ask Albert HaynesworthAl Zarilla said:Is that like the glue factory for a horse?
Yep.dcmissle said:This is the last of last chances for Fred. Pages could be written about his nonsense down here. He is about the most unprofessional, no-account individual to put on a Washington uniform in the last 15 years this side of Al Haynesworth. That covers a lot of fools.

Super Nomario said:I basically agree with the consensus that Davis has little chance of making the team, but I think the acquisitions of Davis along with Scott Chandler and A.J. Derby show they're not real happy with Wright and Hoomanawanui at the bottom of the depth chart. I think we know what Uh Oh is at this point, and Wright seemed to fall out of favor as the season went on - after averaging 22-23 offensive snaps a game in the regular season, he played just nine total in the playoffs. I don't think either of them is a lock to make the team.

I'd have a hard time seeing both Wright and Davis making the team if Gronk and Chandler are healthy. They're both receiving TE who don't really play special teams; when would they see the field? If they carry a fourth TE, I'd imagine that player would contribute on special teams and / or blocking.BelichickFan said:
In the perfect world, Gronk, Chandler, Wright, Davis will make the team, Derby will make it to the Practice Squad and we'll thank HooMan for his efforts. That would mean than Wright and Davis have both looked good in camp, they both will have to earn a spot this year.

TE Fred Davis' contract with the Patriots: 1-yr, $825k. $20k in workout bonus, $60k in per-game roster bonuses. No guaranteed money.

Right. If Davis is healthy and willing to work, I see no reason why he wouldn't at least supplant Wright on the roster. Guy was on pace for a 1000+ yard season in 2011.
Again, I'm not holding out a ton of hope, but he certainly had the ability to get open before his layoff from the football field.

Well Davis might suck--2011 was a long time ago and 29 is getting old in football.

I thought that part was implied.

You read the report, right Chachi?
We have a winner. NE again a DC graveyard, this time for different reasons.Shelterdog said:
