Strange that the Pats are trading for an OL from the Chiefs of all teams when that appears to be a position of strength for the Patriots and weakness for Chiefs.
This is my thought as well. KC isn't real strong on the OL, and the Pats are really good, so it seems like a bit of an odd fit. But hey, if there's one position BB does well with, it's offensive linemen.
Last year by the end of the season that was the case but the Chiefs have what should be a good line this year.
LT: Orlando Brown
LG: Thuney
C: Creed Humphrey (rookie)
RG: Trey Smith (rookie - both those guys were top 50 guys to me)
RT: Lucas Niang - he is their weakest link.
Backups are: Andrew Wylie, Nick Allegretti, Mike Remmers, and Dr. Duvernay-Tardif.
Granted the rookies need to succeed but they had some depth there.
Quick add: Trey Smith only dropped for medical reasons. He has been lights out in camp and won a starting role. On our draft review pod
@Brand Name and I went over what a steal Smith could be for them if he stays healthy. Oh and Remmers can step up and be around an OK RT if need be.
